Hey guys, i need a simple web page made for my business, at this stage i really only need one page, with my logo, business details, links social media, and a picture of my merchandise with email link to order.

If anyone can help and is in my area that would be great.

    Regards Andrew

How simple? I am a total beginner and used Wix and it works brilliantly.

If you want a hand let me know. I enjoyed learning using Wix, very straight forward.

Before I have a look, can I design it using wix then upload it into cPanel?

I'm enjoying learning CSS at the moment. For even a basic website, if you can get some time down in CSS + host your site for $20 a year, that'd tick most the boxes of a basic website. No need for WIX or other 3rd parties for what is essentially a static website.

Which leads me to my question, what's the website all about? Just a fancy business card? Hosting information of sorts?

ive already got it hosted with my isp, i will need to add more to the site but heres a link to what ive been able to get done so far. Using cPanel seems to be very limited and easy things seem just so hard to do.

    1. If you want to do it yourself then spend time doing it, or
    2. if your time is more valuable doing other things for your business then pay someone else for their time to do it.

Work out what you want your website to do for your business, once you have an end goal and an idea you can either, learn the appropriate technologies or pay someone.

There is a big difference between a proper website and a hacked together one.

EDIT - Wix is not just a static website, it does everything a beginner would want to do without the hassle, like shopping carts and payment gateways, SEO optimization, integrating a map and a whole lot of stuff that every other platform does.

You can use Wix for all of what you need. PM me if you want to discuss further.

ok so i just had a fiddle around for a few hours, ive got something made thats good enough for now. But i guess this isnt going to work as i have to pay a monthly fee to wix even though i have my own domain... Isnt there a program i can buy as a once off and just upload my page design?? Honestly they dont make this shit as simple as they can and should...

IF you are just after a simple one page site, check out getting a template and customising it.

https://themeforest.net/tags/one page has a bunch of great starting points that are around the $20 mark or so and can be really easily customised by changing photos/logos.
