    Hey guys

I have an 8700k and a gtx 1080ti and really want to get a new monitor. I really want a 32inch 2650x1440p 165hz gsync also with HDR but can't seem to find one.

Or what 2k monitor should I get

I got the Acer predator 27” 144hz 2k with g-sync and absolutely love it. Highly recommended!

If you have a Nvidia graphics gtx 10 series then set it to fast. It looked good for me on 75hz with no tearing but I have an asus rog gl502vs lappy with a gtx 1070 8gb and 15 inch 1080p gsync screen with 120hz and the 120hz feels so much nicer the then 75hz of my current 32 inch 2560x1440p gaming monitor

75hz is nearly as bad as 60hz, I would actually say it's pretty much same, you need to go over the ~110hz mark to get the nice fluidity of the high refresh rate

True so hyperthetically if me and or op get a 120hz+ "freesync" panel theres not much downside to using fast on nvidia control panel?

Tried it on my 60hz screen and its so crap compared to unlocked and there is a bit of extra lag.

hey guys, sorry for hijacking the tread with such question but where do you reckon I could experience high refresh rate gaming, to have a feel of it at least, any exhibition stands or anything? Or should I just roam nearby JB HiFis, maybe they have one for display and hooked up to a PC?

Definitely not JB HiFi, they will most likely tell you there is no such thing as high refresh rate panel, and try to convince you to buy MAC :D:D:D

if you in Sydney, Mwave has showroom in their head office near Olympic park, they have few BenQ\Zowie 144hz and 240hz panels running various games, that you can play/test for free, and they had 1x Acer predator on display from memory.

Recently copped a Acer XB1 27" IPS, 1440p, 144/165Hz. Absolute corker. Cannot go back to 60hz. ever. again. Not sure 240Hz would be a whole lot better and those panels are generally 1080p.

Yes, I call them Counter Strike panels, that's probably the only real use for them :)

IPS, 1440p, 144/165Hz is the way to go.

Guys just wanted you to know that HDR in Windows 10 is really broken. I just watched the new hardware unboxed video on YouTube and it explains that HDR is really broken atm and doesn't look very good so I'm kinda glad I didn't go for a HDR monitor now.

My lg32gk850b 32 inch 2560x1440p 165hz gsync monitor has shipped this afternoon and they said I will have it in 5 or 6 days. So I will let you all know how it goes then.

I only paid $879 for it which is pretty good for a 32 inch 2560x1440p gaming monitor so I'm happy.

Will all let you know how it turns out in a few days.

Btw looks like I'm selling my old 32 inch monitor to a mate for $300 so it's all good. If he pulls out of the deal I will just keep it as a second screen. Can't go wrong with 2 x 32 inch 2560x1440p screens now can you
