My good friend - my Tamron 28-75 - passed away recently, unfortunately prior to me getting a FF body. I'd like ideas on what to do (i.e. just get another 28-75, or something else). I have a 7D + now a 5D. I have a Sigma 30 which I'm in two minds what to do about. I have a Canon 85 F/1.8 which isn't going anywhere. And I have a Tamron 11-18 (works OK from ~14mm on the 5D). Longer glass too but that's not particularly relevant. The 28-75 was one of my favourite lenses on the 7D for portraits (mainly for my kids as they wont sit still so I liked the zoom) and would've been a nice zoom on the 5D too. But given I'm considering spending ~$400 I think I should consider my options. - Get another 28-75 - Canon 28-135 (want something faster than that though) - any other options? Other ideas floating around my head that don't exactly solve the problem - Canon 40mm F/2.8 - Sell Sigma 30 and get Canon 28mm F/1.8 - Sell Sigma 30 and get Sigma 50 (a little concerned about AF) - Upgrade from Canon 85 to Sigma 85 - Upgrade Tamron 11-18 to Sigma 12-24 - ??
