    I'd say...

Mac mini gets a small upgrade, santa rosa chips and probably a 802.11n bump; might even make it a shade cheaper.

He'll redo the 'look' of Apples Cinema monitors to match the imac look.

Announce the Iphone release to new countries (Australia).

New Mac Pro look, probably in line with the Macbook. Bigger drive size and probably faster chips.

I dont really see a tablet size PC being released 'considering' he has the Ipod Touch and Iphone. Rather he is going to move forward in this area with these two products.

Hopefully if it is EOL, they will release an even better product at the same price point.

If it hadn't been for the Mac Mini, I would still be using a PC. The same can be said for many other people.

I hope it is. Not *all* of us are cool with chucking out our 20" or 24" screen whenever we want to update

cinema display updates - possible 23 / 30" LED backlit
    ultra portable mbp

but possiblely none of the above....doesnt worry me, as its not time for my upgrade cycle yet anyway :p

Yes, but the mac mini is designed to be used with your old mouse/keyboard/display, and is there to get people who want to try out mac.

If you had your entry level an iMac, less people would be interested as they don't want two screens on their desk.

The people were rumouring its demise before August last year and lo and behold it got a speed bump on its chips. Along with a memory bump I believe?

Then the rumour mill started again on its demise.

Mac minis size is pretty much set. CPU + funnel + fan. Its meant to be a desktop so people expect to constantly be using some CD/DVD so it will always come with an inbuilt drive. It would be nice to have SSD but wasteful so it will continue to come with a hard drive.

Call it a look update, its possible he might give it a the glass/aluminium case look but either way I still say theres always going to be a mac mini.

From a business point of view it makes sense. As his laptop/imacs get speed upgrades on their CPU. He holds the surplus old chips back for a few months then upgrades his mac mini line with it. Really its a win win situation for Apple.

Which is why its a no brainer for them to go to Santa Rosa as soon as possible.

I'm hoping for an update to the MBP lineup - I've been waiting the last few months for the next update cycle so I can get one :D

WTF??? yeah... i'd like an iPod shuffle touch with 5" screen and no less then 160GB capacity... all for $99... keep dreaming!

On another note... i really don't think the iPod range is going to get an update, as all the new products are quite good. I like the fact that Apple is still able to keep their prices reasonable, even with their upgrades (it just means that you have to keep an eye constantly to get the next product generation asap though).

I do hope the MacBooks get an update. I'm looking for a replacement to my uni bash box... a 4 year old HP 1.4ghz centrino (second slowest centrino EVER!) An aluminum case would be nice... as my laptops take a beating most days between home, work and uni.

I think there is a good chance that this will be an option on Mac Pro's come MacWord 2008.

BR reader as standard, with a BR-RW "superdrive" as an option is my guess

Shouldn't the Apple store be closed after the announcements?

speculation is that there will be a "macbook air" aka ultra-slim macbook.

will there be a "macbook air zoom"?

edit: typing in macbookair.com redirects to apple's page!
