Hey guys, Well i have been rather lazy and havent gotten around to putting up the build of my cab, even though its been finished for the last couple of months. Anyway, here it is: Warning, lots of pictures! So to start with i drew up the Cab on Solidworks to make sure it looked how i wanted it. I based the design off Elvis's, but i made a couple of my own changes. And here are my drawings with all the dimensions that i used: http://rapidshare.com/files/441238140/MadDogs_Cabinet_Assembly_Drawing.pdf http://rapidshare.com/files/441238141/MadDogs_CP_Assembly_Drawing.pdf Feel free to use them if you like This was the laptop that i was originally using. I opened it up and soldered a couple of wires onto the power switch so that it could be turned on and off from a external switch. It worked great while i used the laptop. Here are the two sides cut out after i marked them up. Note that if you are cutting ply with a circular saw, make sure the good sides are the two in the middle so you dont chip the edges. This is the bottom half of the control panel box. Very strong so it will be able to handle some punishment The two sides ready for the middle sections. Its starting to come together now Base attached. Pretty sure its strong considering the amount of screws i used :rolleyes Wheels attached with some re-enforcing on the inside Starting to look like a real arcade cabinet now So this is how i positioned the buttons and joystick on the control panel. I drew up the dimensions in cad first then printed them on A4 and stuck them down where i wanted them. http://rapidshare.com/files/441232862/A4_Button_Layout.pdf And now with the front door fitted Next was the two coin mechs. Going back now i should have only put one in and not two.
