while what everyone has done is great and there's some
really good looking ones there i'd have to say all of them
    are useless.

from what i understand we are designing a stickers/logo
thing from companies to put on the box of their reviewed
product. therefore the image need to have a border/be self contained and be readable when the size of a postage stamp.
it also needs to print well and easily meaning the simplier the
    colors the better.

    well that's my 2 cents

    My top 4

Icarus - love 3ds max action, mmm... 3d Oz
Biach - excellent first time effort, keep it up
    CrashT - colours work beautifully
    Nexx - so simple

If I had any skill and time I'd attempt my own design.
Keeps up the good work guys.

BTW: the guide lines are very poor for sugesting a design... there is no sizes specified or the type of printing/medium going to be used... and nothing about number of colours - ie millions or 256... all these do depend on how any real designer has to work with.

Remote Man, most of the designs in this thread can easily be modified to meet your criteria. nexx has show you already with his design.

It took me 20 minutes to modify my design for print use.

anti-aliasing on text and borders removed, background added, etc etc.

Icarus's would be great if it was still, flat with a mettalic background but OCAU would have to pay a little bit extra for that 'metallic background' effect on the plastic so it reflects etc.. and doesnt seem heaps plain

can i suggest you try a gold one for highly recommended, and the glow shadow for the text is a bit iffy if you know what i mean doesnt quite fit imo, so a few variations Great work anyway :)

Animated stickers... now theres and idea!

Im trying to keep mine simple, maybe if i can get a vector logo of OCAU :( But plain shapes are generally easier to print than actual images.

Revised: (spelling fixed, star colours changed, recommended logo now only has 2 stars)

Okay, here are my dodgy attempts. Sorry if they're a bit big, but you asked for high res. :)

*Edit: Okay, maybe I worked on them a little bit more. :)*

*Edit 2: If you think this is a good idea but want me to change something slightly, for god sakes let me know. I don't want you to walk away from a good logo because it was missing a line or some font was too small.*

*Edit 3: On Gigitt's request, I turned them into thumbnails. High Res links are now below each pic.*
