pretty meh trailer...
I need to finish ME2 and start 3!
Technology that is advanced that far.. and the vehicles still have wheels??
I got excited. ME is just amazing.
I hope they keep making the sandpit bigger with more toys.
I just have this feeling I won't enjoy it as much as the original trilogy - how can you get bigger than Reapers??
Hope to be proved wrong though
Need more info about the story and how it fits in with the original games.
It would need to be something pretty epic to match the original.
When I first read the title I thought it was another Mass Effect mobile game
So long as I can continue to kill people for looking at me funny during my glorious renegade runs I'll be happy
very meh trailer, I love love love ME but that trailer made me almost yawn.
haha, I see what you mean - the name is very *insert spacey name here* that many mobile games do.
It actually apes the ME3 reveal trailer to a degree.
everyone knows the most important game play aspect of ME is the sexy times with aliens
Keen as mustard. Glad it's not a damn MMO like they originally implied.
Not sure how they're going to build a new fanbase from people who already love Shepard and co. Hope it's not another case of KOTOR where the characters in the sequel were completely overshadowed by the ones from the first.
Same here, games like ESO have completely alienated a great part of their fanbase.
There'll be the usual "fan service" for sure maybe cameo's and stuff but unless they manage to heavily tie the original trilogy to this new game I think it'll be a ME game but something different - hopefully something that won't be a shadow of that experience. Really hope they prove me wrong and make something amazing.
I don't know if anyone else ever read a series of books called Chronicles of an Age of Darknes by Hugh Cook but it had this enormous world and the characters existed in their own stories but the greater world all tied together - I'd love to see some games do this kind of thing. Kind of like Game of Thrones does for those not familiar with the above.
I don't know if the after credits scene of ME3 was anything to go by but
it seemed to be set in the distant future. As such, any cameos I'd imagine would be passing mentions or recordings. Liara might appear as she has an extended lifespan, maybe Wrex?
I thought I read this game was some kind of prequel?
I'll miss my Lesbian Shepard (come on admit it that's what we play the game for lol). But seriously, as long as it's in the same universe and it's a story I can get my hooks into, I'm happy to be rebooting with a new character.
Nope, it's after the Mass Effect Trilogy.
This is the thing, normally this type of game ultimately gets compared to the ones before - look at Telltale's TWD, Season 2 isn't anywhere near as great as Season 1.
I'm yet to see a spinoff game rise above it's inspiration.
They've got a lot of work to bring the epic scope of the story to the same heights as the original trilogy - I mean we were so invested in that story and it's characters, it was for me 3*60-70 hour games over 5 years. That is scale.
ta, I couldn't remember but thought i read the opposite.
I feel like I gave up on Mass Effect once they introduced ammunition, sorry "cooling packs" (or whatever they were called).
Completely ruined the theory behind what mass effect is.
ME was amazing, ME2 was pretty good still but ME3 sucked ass due to the linear ending (hilarious considering the producer said they didn't like generic endings).
Agreed. The cooling clips were such a crap idea. I think what would have been better was having the cooling clips to allow your weapon to fire longer and faster but when they are gone you can still fire but you have to be mindful of your weapon overheating.
I really enjoyed that part of ME1... then when ammo came in to ME2 I hated combat.
THE MAKO IS BACK!!!!!
