Sounds like Bioware dropped the ball. The Angry Centaur review mimics the initial impressions from RPG. Sort of a bit "meh". That's a shame. I'll wait for more reviews and certainly wait for any patches that are going to come out over the next while.

Oh yeah. I second that. A mature version of mass effect with that CD Projekt "grit". That would be good.

Hurry up with Cyberpunk 2077 please.

    Hmm another middling review.

    https://www.destructoid.com/review-mass-effect-andromeda-424694.phtml

    Positive but unfulfilled here

    http://www.polygon.com/2017/3/20/14886618/mass-effect-andromeda-review-PS4-Xbox-One-PC

And rps continued to double down on just not liking it.

    https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2017/03/20/mass-effect-andromeda-review/

Ars are quote a bit more positive.

    https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2017...andromeda-is-dragon-age-inquisition-in-space/

After reading all of these I'm getting a distinct it's average vibe.

I'm getting a flashing black screen that feels like its trying to kill my system when the games in fullscreen mode now though. Works fine in Fullscreen Windowed at least.

haha yeah good bleeding coz i didnt blink. its fukn intense. pretty much yeah an upgraded me3 mp experience, which is all i wanted anyway so im stoked. the enemy teleporting is a problem though, and weapon reloading takes some getting used to as its weird, and if you swap weapons within like a split second of the wrong moment, you wont reload your weapon. have to wait out the entire animation which is kinda slow.

i watched the video review linked above and you know what, it was a great review. strongly recommend anyone on the fence about this game watch that review.

for me, im loving this game and cant wait for release. all the negs aside, im super keen and im a die hard ME fan anyway so i was always gonna overlook every fault. and im having a great time. but there are definitely some big issues with the game. so if you are someone who is perhaps tight on cash or doesnt like buying games just because it came out today, or new to the series, i would watch that vid and decide for yourself as he is pretty damn honest and on the mark.

in the MP, the big issue for me is the AI teleporting. get some crazy enemy teleports going on, not sure if its because they were supposed to initiate a 'ladder climb' animation and the game decided to skip a few steps, but yeah. its very noticeable. basically every fault that video pointed out, i experienced and i chose to overlook because i just love ME anyway, but they are definitely there. imo the biggest mistake they made was using the Frostbite engine over the Unreal engine, like the past 3 games. UE4 looks fukn amazing in its current state, obviously there is behine the scenes political shit we dont know anything about to cause them to change, plus Frostbite is their own proprietary engine so save $$ etc but yeah, that was my initial worry way back when Frostbite was the announced engine, and i feel like its the main issue here.

ah well, 2 more days and i can play the shit out of this game for real on 2 platforms :)

edit: i wasnt referring to the Pewdiepies, but i just watched that too. pretty funny

Quite. few reviews out now, they are mostly pretty good, and follow the 'if you liked the older Mass Effect games, you will probably like this'.

Apparently the intro is also the weakest part.

Is enough to tip me over the edge to a buy.

Actually seems like an unbiased review with valid complaints.

You are exactly who EA targeted this game at.

All good then, as long as it is fun, not rose coloured glasses and illusion of fun.
