iiNet ADSL2+ right next to the exchange - is there any way to squeeze more out of my connection (I have already tweaked the SNR on my Billion 7800N) or is the ~5Mbps lost purely due to overheads?

    Code:
    Upstream	1023
    Downstream	24573
    SNR Margin(Upstream)	10.7
    SNR Margin(Downstream)	5.3
    Line Attenuation(Upstream)	3.7
    Line Attenuation(Downstream)	5.5

Nice ping. Nice speed. How long you been getting that?

I'm on ultimate (I think) and my ping varies according to the browser I use.

I noticed my pings changed from about 25 - 30ms down to a ping of 6ms with FireFox but a ping of 10ms with Opera. Weird, but still a nice improvement. It may be the optic fiber upgrade that is part of the NBN. Is that even being rolled out yet?

What browser is that? What OS too? I use Fedora Linux and get 6ms with Firefox through Ashgrove exchange, cabled (no wireless).

Just put in for a plan change from 10/2mbit to 60/15mbit, for $10 less a month. Just have to wait for it to take effect.

They just did it. Its Iinet, who bought Transact, they are taking all the speed limits they have put on since they rolled it out.In theory these speeds could have been offered a few years ago.

Too far away to have any decent speed, max is 800Kb, so trying for lowest latency with iinet gamer profile.
