Telstra TV box does iView, ABC, Netflix, Stan, YouTube etc. I think they sell it kinda cheap, or if you have Telstra internet ask them nicely for one and they might give it to you for free.

Otherwise maybe consider buying a cheap PC off the sales section or gumtree and use it as a dedicated TV media server?

Looking into EMBY atm. I've got a dedicated media server so could do that. Otherwise the vodaphone one looks pretty sweet running android.

Plex is a far better user experience than Plex. Do you intend on using the server yourself? Maintaining it? You could setup Plex at your place, she can pay the $6 for the Plex app on Android/Apple and stream media that way?

If not, the voda TV above will do practically everything. Whack Kodi on and give her legal media on an external HDD and it's pretty much foolproof.

Another vote for the Kodi app. If I need iView or other streaming apps these days I'll just use the in-built functions of the samsung tv I have. Does she need another tv by any chance? ; )

It's next on the cards I think. It's 4k but Hisense.

Can fully recommend the samsung oled series if the budget permits. I find the software and apps very easy to navigate and use.

My Sony Bravia has Android on the TV so we use plex, all the apps, and tv, and it all integrates with the Google Home. The Sony menu's are pretty slow but maybe there's another Android TV to look at?
