    It's a Total War game... It'll rock.

Your CPU has to support SSE2. See the MTW II Forum.

Yeah it sucks a lot more power than Rome did, setting textures to medium and turning bloom effects off while runing everything elsde on high works well.

This game is excellent, def going to buy it, didn't like the first Med War, but I loved Rome.

    Can't play this game.

As soon as I load it, my monitor goes "out of range" and I can't see shit.

I was about to thank the game for supporting 16:9 out of the box since it asked me if I wanted to go 4:3 or 16:9 on installation...

    But no...

    This might help

    VIDEO ISSUES

    Monitor Display

Monitor display goes black when the game resolution is set to a value
that the monitor cannot display. The game can only detect the video
modes supported by the graphics card not the monitor. Should you find
you have set the resolution and cannot run the demo, in order to reset
the resolution open the medieval2.preference.cfg file found in the
demo installation directory in a text editor.

Change the following lines to match below:

    battle_resolution = 1024 768

Yeha, Yeah I was playing around with that file and got it to work. Chagned it to 1680*1050

    Quick overview.
    2 battles, + 1 tutorial.

First one, Spanish & English vs France. Playable English. (to show off gunpowder dudes)

2nd one, English vs France Playable France. (mostly archers)

    Just finnished it then.
Looks nice, camera seams worse then the last game, I think they changed it a bit.

yeah camera seemed a bit weird, theres 3 different types of camera to choose

finally after much delay i finally got it to work on my sisters laptop (pentium m, 9600 pro)

the menus look beautiful, very nice

tutorial is battle of hastings, pretty easy

2nd battle its the spanish and germans (you play germans) v the french. cannons, muskets and so on. so theres explosions and big booms going on. it was actually a bit confusing because there were 2 battles going on at once

3rd battle at agincourt. there were stakes in the ground protecting your archers  although the enemy can walk through them slowly. french attack from behind, its a nice melee and hopefully you eventually win. you see king henry walking around in a very shiny pimp suit of armor

how did it run? well i had it on 1280x768 (supports widescreen!) and had everything to low, and it was ok. then i turned unit detail to medium, and thats when you could start seeing the individual uniforms like they said. and yes, they do finishing moves ie 360 slashes. theres blood as well

can't wait for the full thing to come out. my wallet on the other hand... :(

Hmmm. I didn't know that EB took children as an alternate to money. I wonder how many you would need for this game. Do you get change? So many possibilites. :D
