This time it's going to be a mix of linear and open world sandbox.

Reveal trailer looks really good

Looking forward to it. I guess I have plenty of time to play through the Redux games before this lands.

Just recently fell in love with the story after buying the metro redux series. And just stumbled on the YT videos just now. For the first time, and its rare, all I was thinking is "shut up and take my money". Can't wait!

Might need to buy a new computer, 4.6ghz x5670, twin 680's and a 4k monitor don't cut it anymore :upset:

So keen for this. What got me into the original game was finishing a binge of all STALKER games.

    Found your issue. :p
I wouldn't even bother trying to push 4k with my 980Ti. 1440p is the sweet spot IMO.

    But the pi1x3ls!!!

I should have gone 1440p after my u3011 died. Would probably get less display lag as well.

Graphics look good, but looks like a lot of control detachment with the mini quick-times etc. Might just have been the scripted stuff they showed in the E3 video though.

This was covered in the Epic Store thread, but if anyone has been living under a rock, with less than 2 weeks to launch the publisher for Metro: Exodus (note not the dev) has signed an exclusive deal with Epic store, and taken it away from steam for the PC version (unless you already pre-ordered).
    https://www.polygon.com/2019/1/28/18201004/valve-metro-exodus-epic-games-store

This has annoyed a great deal of people, but the game is $10 USD cheaper on the Epic Store (which they could have just done instead of being exclusive), due to the less % of sale cut that Epic charges (12%) over Steam (30%) being passed on to the consumer. Plus the kick backs from Exclusivity deal which ends after 12 months.

I wont be touching this game with my 1080ti itl make me feel sad in low fps. Ill wait till next upgrade. Metro is always a gen (or 2) ahead of hardware, it should be 'But can it run Metro' not Crysis..

I have a feeling this will be a title where HDR is done right too.

I doubt a 1080ti would struggle, just dont use AA if you're on native res.

Or overclock the bejesus out of it.

They probably have lost a substantial amount of sales over this whole epic games thing.

If the game is also releasing on potato-consoles graphics then you should be able to find a graphic setting that suits your PC. ;)

Yeah but this is the kind of game you want to see on ultra! especially being single player.. I rkn 50-60fps if lucky @ ultra 1440p

Which to some is fine but ill struggle haha

The developer is threatening not to release their next title on PC if people boycott because of the switch to EGS, lol.

So they are happy to lose the biggest market for their games because of a few trolls and people not wanting to use a new store.

Technically it's a post from a developer, not an official statement from 4A but still shows a very poor response to a reasonable reaction.

I'll let you know on the 15th. I'm fairly certian 60fps + will be very doable with my 1080ti , without a noticable loss is visual fidelity ( no ray tracing, of course). This is being released across 3 platforms, and is aiming to be playable with ray tracing, so you'd assume (hope) the underlying engine is fairly well optmised.

This was one of the quickest changes from "looking forward to this" to "yeah nah mate" I've had in years. I only found out about the game last week, and then a few days later it got pulled from Steam before I had even decided if I wanted to play it or the new farcry game/dlc first. Ugh.

    I'm sorry, why again?

It's the same game, cheaper, which you can still add to steam as a non-steam game (and since u will prob hve it running in background anyway) so friends can see when yr playing it - where is the downside again?
