Close mate of mine who loved the previous metro games said this; the cut scenes ruined the game for him as they go on and on and on and on and on. Outside that, the gameplay, content, graphics was all good. He liked the game, just hated the cut scene lengths at times. He said it was absolutely ridiculous at times, having the NPC talking and talking and you are trying to listen for things happening and can't hear your surroundings because they wont stfu :D

I have the game installed and will be starting it tonight.

Just finished it. Was a great game overall graphics and sound especially were superb, only thing I wasn't a fan of was the vehicle/boat sections just felt like additional padding in a mini-esque open world.

Haha, oh man, even on my 1080ti the Caspian can drop below 60 fps. Fuck you volumetric fog, fuck you.

Also I've realised I enjoy this game in the same way I enjoy a leisurely read: pick it up for a few chapters at a time; the map exploration can almost meditative.

I do dislike how it more or less forces you to use stealth. Going loud is penalized, and uses more resources than you can possible gain from a given encounter.

I dunno why the smoke effects cause the fps to tank hard?

I've played a fair few hours now, game is fun, graphics good, but I agree with my mate, there is so much talking, some times more than one at a time and you cant hear one over the other so you are reading two conversations at once. Outside that, when you are actually playing the game, its worth getting.

Played an hour or two last night. It runs great on my shiny new rtx2070 even with an old i7-4770. Haven't made it to the open-worldy bits yet so don't know if performance will tank in fog.

As for gameplay it's been fun so far. To those complaining about being rewarded for stealth play, Metro games have always been about stealth. The world is full of monsters that want to eat you, and you have very limited resources.

If your a fan of the previous metro games then it’s a easy yes. I have no comment on the epic store as I’ve never used it.

Why not just sign up for Xbox game pass for introductory $1 for first month then get it from there? It's including with standard Game Pass even.

Anyone running the MS store version and unable to get GSync to work? I have tearing despite Gsync...
Could it be to do with borderless window mode BS (something about MS store apps running borderless windowed instead true fullscreen?)

I don't follow you. It's $5 for a full game for a month and you can cancel at any time.

For a huge stack of games, it's incredible value. Got promo pricing at 6 bucks for 3 months, then stack on the AMD promo code lol
