So... Do they finally let you connect a proper HOTAS type setup and keyboard to X-Box now?

Looks like an excuse to update my 6600K rig to a Ryzen setup...

It's just a video. Take 5mins, have a breath. Then go look at some of the various articles on the internet for your answer.

Meh, I'm reasonably certain my Virpil Kit will do jack all in an X-Box. I'll stick with the PC master race!

Saying this looks amazing is an understatement.
I did hear in a video, how they will achieve this is by doing most of the processing on a server and streaming the content and will most likely be subscription based.. How official that is I don't know.

I'm ok with a subscription as long as they keep making missions.

Missions in FSX are insanely fun.

That's exactly how it works. For those with shitty connections, if you fly in certain areas more often. The game keeps that data cached.

You guys might know, is there anything still in production that is like Combat Flight Sim?

Used to play that with my dad all the time using a good old sidewinder back in the early 00's

If you want to know more of the ins and outs of Flight Simulator 2020, check out the video below. He's goes into a little bit more detail about how the online mapping system works amongst other things.

The game itself looks incredible. There's one bit of footage in the video where you see an outside view of the plane where it's like your hanging off the bottom of one of the wings off a Cessna looking towards the pilot flying along a river. The reflections on the plane as it moved looked incredible and the scenery looked so damn real I had to double take. If it wasn't for the pilot not looking like a realistic human pilot (about the only let down in that scene) I could of easily mistaken it for actual real life footage of plane flying along a river.

I wonder if 23mb/s would be enough?

    Yes, FTTN fail.

You can dl certain parts and play offline.
Of course here in retarded Australia most people won't be able to max this game due to 3rd world internet.

One thing I'm curious about is the level of detail for ex, can you do a low flyby of Vegas at night with reasonable detail/lighting?

Thanks. I might have to do that.

I use to do internal Alpha/Beta testing for Microsoft back in the day before they closed that down and opened things up more to the public when they moved everything across to these Insider Program's. Flight Simulator wise I tested FS 2000, 2002, 2004, CFS 2 and CFS 3. Good times as we used to be able to talk directly to the developers through the old newsgroups. Not sure if you get the same level of contact with Insider Programs however.

I've signed up for alpha testing.
I have 100mb FTTP, 3 types of VR, Hotus, thousands of hours in all flight sims and I work for an aviation company.

They had all of the above in the questionaire so here's hoping in with a chance!!!
