Thats very strange. I've been subbed for years at this point and I dont think I've had any issues adding/removing/playing games. The only issue I had was Gears 5 on Day 1 which had some sort of game bug causing crashing.
Xbox Beta app Gears 4 and Dishonoured 2 both error around the 1% downloaded mark and refuse to budge any further. Masterchief collection - I tried to play the first one and got told that there was additional content to download?? But nothing happened after I clocked download and still cant play it. Gears 5 installed fine for me Turing test is awesome though TABS is also a lot of fun for some laid-back fun Everyone should give sea of thieves a go
Looks like the Xbox Gamepass app is now out of beta, and a number of improvements have been made. It certainly loads a LOT faster on mine when I open it from the taskbar.
Hopefully they keep the cheap beta pricing for a while longer. Not sure I would keep my subscription if it was more expensive.
I'd probably pay a tenner i.e. netflix. They really need to improve the store mechanism, e.g. all the stuck/failing downloads, and that's just the tip of the iceberg (mods, locked settings etc.) I wouldn't pay real money for a freakin' Window store game in its current form, just too unreliable, can't use a bunch of settings e.g. exclusive fullscreen for a lot of titles, etc. NVM that you can't get deals from third party sites (GMG, fanatical, humble etc.) unlike steam keys. Those of you who say you're fine, you'll get the stuck download thing eventually and it will piss you off. ATM if you're a tightarse you can simply subscribe for a dollar, let it expire for a few days, then resubscribe for a dollar. Exxxxcellent
I doubt they’re increase the price. The one for pc and Xbox is $10. They won’t charge that much for a just pc option.
I hope the price does not go up, but MS always said the cheap price was only during beta. Fingers crossed.
I haven't had any issues with stuck downloads etc. Been flawless here. If the price goes up I'd be thinking twice about keeping my sub. $10 would probably push me out, but a couple of $ more I think I'd stay in.
look I'm a cheapskate but I don't see how you could turn down ten bucks a month. That's buying 2 new-ish AAA games a year when they're on 30% sale LOL. The selection is pretty decent, there's stuff for everyone. My last stint on it I played through - Control - The Outer Worlds - Metro Exocdus - Wolfenstein 2 I mean that's easily worth 40 bucks alone assuming you played 1 game per month. I just dip in and out because I like 1 dollar prices, and also I'm trying to reduce gaming hours (and I have the stereotypical ridiculous steam backlog, now I also have an epic backlog ROFL)
WEll, its $1 for the first month, and $5 a month thereafter. Also, it has all of the Metro games and as I told Madengineer if you want to play exodus, you really should play the first two first, they have the redux there so no excuses and they are fantastic games.
I was replying to the previous guy who said he would drop it if it went to a tenner. I agree with you Even without the MS games (Forza Halo Gears et al) there's heaps of top-rated indies like Streets of Rage 4, Wargroove, Slay the Spire, Dead Cells
look not to poo poo you too much but it's not the same as buying them on sale - because it's a rental.
Looks like some nice games coming to Game Pass PC over the next week or so. https://www.pcgamesn.com/game-pass-pc-june-2020
This. I subbed for 2 months last year to play Outer Worlds. Managed to play about 12 hours in that time. I came to the conclusion I’m better off just buying the 2-3 games I’m interested in each year and get to them in my own time. Game pass would have been awesome before I had kids lol.
I have the same problem with Dishonored 2. What a joke games pass is. Never had this type of download stall issue with Steam or Origin. And to add insult to injury there is no clear support channel. Support is some vague windows troubleshooting wizard or post on MS forum and hope a community member helps. It really is a joke for a subscription service.
