    You know this how?

    You also know this how?

Matter of personal opinon, but personally i dont see why i need to install somthing to remove somthings most prevalent feature just to make it workable.

You're thinking of OtherOS which could be installed on the older firmware versions.

Ignore him, he's clearly an industry insider who has all these consoles on his home 4K tvs that he plays all the exclusives everyday for a living.

    Don't bring up otheros :upset:

That was the only reason I bought a ps3 then some bullshit update deleted my beautiful gentoo install that took days to compile and left me with a useless box and $500 out of pocket.

Gave it to my mum as a blu ray player after that. Fuckn Sony :/

Steam box IS not a console and does not need a development kit..
Does your PC need one? Any game that runs on a Linux based PC with steam runs on a steam box.

The issue is that the steam box is just a PC with steam as the OS.
Modern games auto adjust graphics settings at install so games run smooth, but 9 times out of 10 the standard PC running steam will be the better option VS the steam box.

I don't have special info on this or anything I've just read up all the news from Valve available about the steam box. But its still a work in progress so things can change. There also looks to be allot of variations from multiple manufactures, some costing more and some less. There could be up to 10 Different steam "based" Custom PC's

Means that when we wake up all the hype will be gone and there will be a boatload of good quality videos and opinion pieces.

It would be nice to get up and watch a vid of the whole conference, without actually knowing the content of the conference beforehand.

    Will be next to impossible

    I can tell you know what it'll be;

-Practically as fast at the Ps4
-FPS and Forza will be the main drawcards
-Online and social media will be a big focus
-Kinect will be built in and will be a large focus
    -Gold membership will remain
-Controller will be identical (except maybe one new button).

    Same console different generation.

The xbox controller is the only decent console controller there is anyway (gamecube was pretty good from memory), so why change it?

So if kinect is rumored to be built in, do you guys think that you can change the orientation of the new xbox like you can with the old one?

    some new info leaked supposedly

There is now a full 12 gigabytes of high-speed RAM in the new Xbox Now! console, unlike the previous rumors of only 8gb.

To be precise, there is 4gb GDDR5 on the GPU and 8gb GDDR5 on the 8-Core IBM custom CPU.

The GPU is the first GCN 2.0 GPU produced and was designed by special team of MS+IBM+AMD.

Eric from IBM will be a speaker on the 21st. with more info like the fact the GPU specs. are a mindblogging 4.9 TFlops.

Sounds like utter tripe, but I'm happy to be proven wrong in a couple of days.
