That's how I did a bunch of my later fights. I also branded the War chiefs bodyguards before fighting with them so I already had a few strong allies going in. Sometimes you will also get a bonus as some war chiefs have a fear for betrayal.

Stealth and Combat Branding are godlike, especially because the animation for Combat Brand makes you immune to damage while its going on.

Now with all of the upgrades and some decent runes - you become awesomely godlike.

It's quite simple to walk into an enemy base and fight for as long as you can be bothered. You turn a dozen or so in the first wave, jump in and out of focus mode to kill any of the berserkers / shield guys (or just turn them all) and just wreak havoc.

I'm finding the throwing knives way too overpowered in keeping up a combo - particularly with the rune that gives each knife 1/5 chance of an explosion!

Highest combo I've had is about 180.

It's a little weird though - sometimes you can still get slightly out of sync with the 'flow' of combat and take a few hits. Still - shadow strike out to the outside and then charge back in!

I love this game, but it does feel like it's lacking a little in the story!

Actually - it reminds me a lot of the first assasins creed. A really good game mechanic - but just not that much to actually do. I really see them fleshing it out either through DLC or sequels.

Its the only game in a long time that i am hoping has some good DLC coming out.

    Do it.
If only for the cheaper price (got mine for $34 AUD a few days before release)

    Also Ultra Texture Packs!

Okay what determines what kind of rune you will get?

Like, kill a boss with a bow, bow rune?

    Or is it random?

This one is ludicrously overpowered once you get the 'throw three daggers' skill
    http://shadowofmordor.wikia.com/wiki/Light_of_the_Valar

Basically you can pickup a 5 hit combo every 2 seconds, and with autoaim you just spam the throw dagger button.

Some of the others (like the additional 10 secs ones and the 50% boost to damage) are nice as well.

Is it just me or did the latest nVidia Driver (344.48) also bring an SLI profile with it for this game?

Prior to this install it would only use 1 card, now it uses both... but not as well as i would hope...

Its not listed in the update info on the site but there's a definite change with the game now...

Yeah that appears to be correct.

Weird thing for me though is that only when I enable the "display SLI status" in the nvidia control panel, does it then use both. Average 90fps with all ultra on 1440p.

If I disable that option, it reverts back to single GPU use, I.e. Almost unplayable when a lot is going on .

Finished yesterday. 100% in 24 hrs I think... could definitely be done a lot faster.

Good game, but as mentioned the ending was kinda lacklustre.

Got the game and downloading on steam... boy does this game take a long time to install. Been downloading since around 3pm and it's barely 50% done :upset:.

Got a new controller too, just for the game.

ending is rather sudden and disappointing...

also severe lack of epic runes.

Agreed. Plus it being a QTE made it seemed rushed. Finished the game in a couple days. Wasn't too bad. Setting up power struggles was fun. No real repeatability though.

I have had the game since release and only just killed the warchiefs about 1/3 through the game. You definitely can not rush in and try to kill everything that is for sure, planning out your attack can sometimes be pretty fun however...when you go to kill a captain and end up fighting 5 captains in one battle, the game can become very un-fun.
