This is a thread for those mini standalone console things that maybe come with one game or several. can be clone or otherwise and a place to discuss said things. now these type of devices have been around for a while but in some ways they are getting much better and i can confidently say primary school me would be all over these things.

So I'll start the thread off with a couple of them, first one I saw linked on FB and i looked at it and thought - oh yeah this will be complete shit. but damn i'm actually impressed - despite the limitations it's kind of cool.

So I guess share your pocket/portable dedicated games and let us know what you think, also feel free to link to reviews of ones that you see come out and are not shit (or shit ones, we can look at them too!).

Second one is something I actually went ahead and bought a while back, The Oregon Trail and ya know it is pretty cool.

And then there's also this one from LGR as well.

i don't really count that, it's more along the lines of the nes/snes/ps1 minis mostly due to the price point.

Would love to see a review of some of the old Game&Watch handhelds. Loved them when I was a kid. (My wife will tell you that I still am)

    :Paranoid:

I sadly don't collect these, but would love to hear from peeps that do. :)

I actually found two of these buried in my games room, still in their packaging. I don't even recall buying them!

Might have to open them up and try them out.

numskull need to stop making these, the Galaga one looks especially neat and I'd play it more than the original Puckman version.

Capcom are having another crack at this. I don't think their previous "giant expensive arcade stick" sold so well.

Is the case design a reference to something I've never seen? it's a truly bizarre looking thing.

as a photo it's quite uninspiring they need to show it in action.
