Only things that can take advantage of widescreen are the PC cores and GBA with the scaler. (Native GBA is letterboxed).

If you are a complete monster, you could play CPS 1 and 2 games in 1:1 PAR, which is close to 16:9. But if you do that, we can't be friends.

I think I'll wait until more information (especially price) is released from RMC regarding their offering before I decide to dip my toes into MiSTer. That, and I also need to get a decent CRT screen as well.

thats just about as confirmed as you're going to get it before it hits your paypal account :)
and that doesnt include the case :Paranoid:
i wouldnt buy the inevitable clone that will pop up either, just on principle
lets hope the they sell really well and the price drops on scale of economy

That's insane! It already looks like it will be a lot cheaper than buying the individual components.

Update on the RMC case/board, a good FAQ session, looks like it's available to purchase earlier than I expected:

I've ordered one from RMC. Excellent timing as my DE10 arrived today from the states (i only ordered it on Monday!)

Will have fun trying a few simple cores over the weekend

    What was his stock levels?

Asking purely because I had a conversation just yesterday with a bunch of folk who were very quick to tell me there's no market for retro games.

I mean, shifting 500 units isn't exactly a huge commercial success that demands attention. Good for a backyard job though.

i dont know the numbers sorry
in the video he mentions someone in AU doing a group buy of 14 for him and his mates.
also mentioned they were surprised by the large number of distributors world wide that had approached them to sell the units

    beaten :)
self_slaughter where are the numbers from ?
500 as an initial release sounds quite good to me. I've seen "big sellers" in massdrop with smaller shipments

Saw him mention it on discord earlier. Feel sorry for those 3d printers though. That's quite the workload. lol
