Domination, that is a masterpiece.
where? is it near the station?
It is easier to get a courier company to transport dry ice, from memory Aus post will do it, but it costs a pretty penny.
did you ever think its a government conspiracy that aliens are covering up?
Whoa you hit the spot.
I used to stuff down 2 or 3 or these(depending on how much money i had) on the way home from school.
I used to interchange between gaytimes and those monaco bars. OMG i loved it.
Nothing like finishing one off and going onto the next one on my walk home.
I couldnt find a pict. Could anyone else?
i used to eat 1-3 of these a day...one day the shop had some bad news.
pauls was taking monaco bars off the market.
needless to say i was devastated.
about 6months later the same shop delighted me with the news of the humble bar's return...and within the month i was scoffing them down again.
That was in about 1995, so the monaco bar has had a troubled past.
But I've eaten them recently in sydney (last 6months), im sure
Mmmm Monaco bars rocked.
I think I might have to hit up my local BP. Oh, for some $1.32 per litre fuel too
golden gaytimes were great too, I still love maxibons but the price is ridiculous. I just make my own with white bread and plain vanilla ice cream yum yum.
These and gaytimes have been my favourite for years and years
I don't really have icecream nowadays because it leaves an unpleasant after taste but whenever I do, I have a gaytime!
mmm makes me think of an Eskimo Pie.
yeah he is talking about the golden gaytimes. They come in yellow packets.
yep golden gaytime
ohhh golden gaytimes are so awesome
honeycomb, vanilla icecream, chocolate and nut crumbs over the top of it all
matter of fact i want it now
i could kill a couple of monaco bars now as a matter of fact, it makes me feel old when i say this but " i remember when you could buy them for 80c"
and on another note i think its funny that they changed the name of gollywog biscuits and fags(pretend smokes) but keep the name golden gaytime funny the way PC works
My dad used to run a deli and I remember having one regularly after school.
Sadly, I haven't had one since (almost 10 years ago)
Can anyone confirm that BP servos still carry Monaco Bars? I was under the impression they weren't manufactured any longer, but if BP's have 'em I'll be purchasing boxloads of these things ASAP!
I was in Sardinia a few weeks ago and thinking I coulda gone a Monaco bar, but they don't sell them there. Instead they sell something similar which has slightly thicker chocolate chip cookies on either side of chocolate chip icecream.
Am I a convert, maybe, but I'll need to have one of each side by side to compare.... and a hot naked woman to feed them to me
man now i want one, long time no monaco bar! every time i have to get a maxibon instead (i hate the chocolate part)
I was in a supermarket today, and I happened to see a sign on the ice cream chest for these things that look similar to Monaco Bars. I didn't get the name at the time, but I saw that it was a Streets products. According to its website, it's called a Streets Cookie, and it looks like a ice cream sandwich with choc chip vanilla ice cream, and it's round. Since there's no other ice cream sandwich-type confection available in Sydney (besides Maxibons, but only one half of those things is any good), these Cookies might be worth a try since Monaco Bars appear to be long gone
