Got off my butt and decided to post some pics. Managed to get a few pics published in Auto Action last week for the Fujitsu race report including this one... right place at the right time.... unfortunately with a 17-40 @ 1/40 at the time as I was doing some funky wide angle stuff LOL Here's a few more....
Great pictures. Was so close to getting there this year but had another event on that weekend. Have you thought about using CF I:14 which lets you register another shooting mode (like 1/4000 on Tv) which applies when you hit the AF-ON button. It's my panic button every time theres a crash or some good action when my camera is on slow shutter speeds...
Have tried it before, but didn't work for me as my reaction was to shoot rather than go for the AF-On button About 60% of my shots from the sequence were usable though, so it wasn't too bad.
Fair enough! I was gonna say, I actually like the way that shot turned out with the motion blur anyway And usually I do it the other way anyway... Set up Tv speed for panning, use the button any time I want a panning shot and then if I'm not using the button it goes back to high shutter speeds. Incidentally, you going to the Gold Coast round?
No, will be heading to Melbourne Friday morning for the final of the Shannons Nationals at Sandown. I might go back to GC if they get openwheelers, but its just too expensive a week to only cover V8s. Bathurst isn't cheap either, but it's Bathurst
All good shots, but the last one of the 888 car is the pick of them for me... something about the red barriers with the red highlights on the car... and the cocked front tire The Turn One sideways action in #6 makes for a pretty damn cool action shot too, nicely done. Outstanding work
No numbers = annoying because im lazy. That aside.. I like the majority of them.. #4, #5 and #6 Love that Jack Daniels car coming out of corner #1 #1 is cool, gives you the impression of just how quickly it all unfolds. Well done
