Is Motorola is taking a shot at the foldable phone game? There's a few specs floating around already...

don't think this is easy to do.
i saw the royale folding mobile last year and the amount of crease marks and bubbles due to the stretching etc was horrendous!
now samsung has recalled all its folding phones too

Specs are little underwhelming now, but the form factor is excellent.

    It looks pretty bloody awesome.

In MKBHD's video, after repeated references to bad lighting, he showed that the screen isn't firmly anchored at the chin, and can slide under the chin a bit when folding the phone closed. Pretty clever way to avoid the stress on the hinge area of the screen when closing the phone.

seriously cool, wish it was a little narrower to reflect the original form factor a bit more closely. i think a narrow but still long screen would have been useful (sony seems to think so with its current xperia phones).

also wish it had a higher end chipset but i can understand why it doesnt given how crazily thin it is. not for me but i can see this selling quite well.

super excited to own one of these, when the tech reaches a price i can justify anyway.

I was slightly interested until I saw the battery specs. I'll pass.

Samd here. Battery is starting to be so more relevant now with high usage. I loved my flip but spending more time on charge takes the attraction away .

hopefully it's successful enough to warrant a gen 2, the move away from small devices hasn't been welcomed by everyone and it's good to see some fancy new tech used in a good way like this.

    Is Motorola insane?

    (Source).

I don't see anything on this phone which justifies a $2,600 price tag.

It's not even a flagship phone, the specs are mid range at best.

Very disappointed with Sony. I loved their earlier phones but won't touch this one given it's price and specifications.

It's not right. I had a Razer V9 (actually still have it!) and really loved it. Why couldn't they continue being great value.
