MSI Oldschool 3DMark05 Competition

    Thanks to MSI, the OCAU HWBOT TEAM is hosting our second competition.

    The competition is based on 3DMark05. Hardware is limited to older/low-end components.
    The person with the highest score will win an MSI GTX560 video card.

    (you do NOT need to be an OCAU HWBOT TEAM member to participate in this competition, but it is preferred)

    The competition submissions open midday Friday 12th August and close midnight Sunday 28th August.

    CPUs allowed:
    s478 s775 and AMD (no hex cores)

    Single and dual GPU configurations are allowed.

    The following is the list of video cards which are NOT allowed in this competition.

    nVidia
    - 5xx -> 550 and up
    - 4xx -> 460 and up
    - 2xx -> 260 and up
    - 9xxx -> 9800GX2
    2 x video cards:
    - GTS 250
    - GTS 450
    - 9800 (all single gpu cards are allowed)
    - 8800 GT/GTS/GTX/ULTRA

    ATI/AMD
    - 6xxx -> 6850 and up
    - 5xxx -> 5850 and up
    - 4xxx -> 4870 and up (including 4850x2)
    - 3xxx -> 3870x2
    2 x video cards:
    - 5830
    - 5770
    - 4850
    - 3870

    Submissions:
    You are required to use the following wallpaper for your submission screenshots:

    Everyone will need a screenshot with the following:

    CPU-Z cpu and memory tabs and GPU-Z.

    Registered version users: Please add the 3DMark05 score and individual test results.
    Unregistered version users: Provide a link to your online result.

    Please make your submissions in this thread. The following is a sample screenshot:

    haha 3d05 whoever has the fastest CPU is going to win,

    1. pick the right card or cards
    2. install the right OS and right driver
    3. clock your CPU high, dont even worry about GPUs
    4. receive 560 from MSI

    Same mobo - coulda probs got a little more out of her. Volts were still fairly low......was getting hot on AC7 pro tho ;)

    Looking forward to this. I have a GT210 laying around that i can use. Too bad the 9800GT's have been marked as not allowed :(. Bring on XP and my Q9400 @ 3.26GHz (FAIL!!! i know)

    lol I only have an E5200 and 9800GTX+ to try .... and I only bought the cpu today .... I have a Q8200 but it wont help ....

    :(

    Also, please clarify:

    9xxx -> 9800GX2 - means that only 9800gx2 is disallowed from the 9000 series right ? 9600GT ? 9800GTX+?

    I have a GT520 and a GT440 coming but they wont be here in time due to another item holding up the order ....

    no dual 9800 gpus. so 9800gx2 not allowed.
    single gpu 9800s allowed, but not two cards :thumbup:
