Hey bertross, you can use ordinary pins for the same result, it makes it really easy. Dingdong had these photos up in his worklog.

yes schnappy and AussieTemplar, these will be available. If you look at the MDPC-X website linked on the first page, everything on there will be available, I am just not sure of prices for a group buy yet. I am not sure we will make much saving on the coloured stuff, but I am sure it will still be enough to make it worthwhile.

I tried using pins but i found that a small flat head screw driver works better :)

I can imagine that would work well if it was small enough and you had two!

Yeah i got like a really small one, and i only use one at a time, by pushing the pins back one by one.

    lol... sharp metal objects :p

when i was organising the buys Nils just didn't want to get into selling other things coz it would make it too difficult to keep track of. Maybe it can be done now though, not sure.

i managed to make a tool myself that works a dream. Made from Wiper blade metal and bent into a tool that you can hold and then the ends where spaed with a Dremel. I will post a pic of it when i get time. Also i seem to have no skilz with the heat shrink. Im in the process of buying a heat gun because the wife's hairdryer is not really cutting it.

It's more to do with that there is no way I'm ever going to spend $55 USD on sleeving.

I might not even get the 7m refill - I'm getting some other stuff which I believe is very similar to MDPC sleeving.

Still interested in what the final cost of a refill pack to my door will cost though :)

Give it to me - I will make it work ;)

It is most likely Techflex CleanCut - which is extremely close to the Murder|Mod stuff. I believe GAM just recently got in a whole bunch of the CleanCut stuff designed for sleeving individual cables as well as SATA data cables.

    Dibs after you

I managed to get my Custom tool to work so all sweet, abit of elbow grease was needed :D

I have sex shots but i forgot my USB cable last night.

A good technique for me was the put the tool in halfway then push the cable towards the tool then push the rest of the tool inwards. then presto. Im not that good at getting the heatshink in the PCI-E hole though to tight. So i just ended up butting it the opening and looks nice.

@ Dreamaxx can i order my own sleeving from murdermod at my own expense? or is this a favor from a few contacts here to the US?

urm.. well you can order through MDPC-X but you won't get any of the discounts we will through group buys. Murdermod doesn't have the COLOURS available to buy separately yet either I don't think, although I am sure they will soon. It is still cheaper to get it shipped straight from Germany though, even though the Aussie $ to Euro exchange rate is poo poo.
