Anyone had a chance to sample the MX518 (Legendary) reboot?
Still have two original MX518 mice but realise they won't last forever! :upset:

I got into the gaming mouse er, game a bit late. Started with a G5 then switched to a G7, then a G5 refresh for the extra thumb button.

Same shape but strangely I always preferred the G5/G7 laser sensor over the MX500/518 optical sensor.

I've hoarded so many G5 and G7 mice from ebay and OCAU over the years for parts in case the few working ones I have ever break down and need repairs. Got a good dozen G7 batteries and they're all shit though haha :upset:

If this new legendary line of rodents has any wireless models I may be tempted to step down from my G603 worship...

I think I went MX510, MX518, G5, G9X, bought the last G9X any major store in Australia had to replace the first G9X that broke, G900 then got sent a replacement G903 because of the bad scroll design of the G900, that I'd tried to replace already once through warranty but never went through with the "smash the mouse before we'll send you a new one" bullshit, which they didn't do the second time around just before the warranty expired.

And with the G903 being amazing, I bought their wireless charging & mousepad setup. Which is great.

In all that time and all those mice, I've only had two keyboards lol. A G15 and a Corsair K90.

I also went MX500, MX518, G5, G7, G700, G900. You may like the laser sensor better because the MX500/518 had poor tracking and acceleration.

I couldn't go back to a mouse without free scroll.

Still rocking my Sidewinder X5, but good to know the 518 got a reboot if it ever dies.

The MS Habu was also a favorite of mine.

They were a great mouse, I used to have a couple and may still have one somewhere. More than happy to see a reboot.

I don't think I've ever had a logitech mouse die on me.....it's more the feet go and it generally get a bit dirty here and there, and then I just feel like a change.

The older MS mice are notorious with having the USB cord go bad.

I have 4x 518's and use them every day on my work pc as well as my home/gaming pc.

At least 10 hours everyday I have a 518 in my hand or nearby.
