Oh man that takes me back. I wanted the 2nd game which was modern, only place I could find it was some niche computer store in the middle of nowhere in rural Queensland, but it happened to be near enough to one of my aunts that she went and bought it for me.
Copied a few midi tunes to a new floppy, and was very disappointed to hear that the speaker is blown. It works, but sounds sooo horrible any time you put the volume up higher than 25 percent. Ill need to tear it down and install a new speaker, aside from that, the GS module works a treat (if you plug in an external speaker) The sequencer also work fine, although I havent figured out how to play one file after the other yet automatically. Currently i have to select the next tune and hit play when playing off the floppy. (stoked the floppy works though) Its actually a pretty nifty little thing, my wife is looking at me with "WTF eyes" but i think she will like some of the monkey island tunes. Duke Nukem probably not her style. Couple of other notes on the Haul... Gunship, Buck Rodgers and steel panthers are in great condition, and bought them accordingly, EOB1 is in pretty good nick, while one of the eob3 cases is nearly failing apart.. again, bought both accordingly, however, that Elite case, isnt as nice as the guy said it would be, however does have all the stuff inside in mint condition.. I am also pretty annoyed at the Dragonlance box, thats no where near the condition it was supposed to be... *sigh* overall pretty happy with the haul though..
A legendary haul as is the rolleye the missus does when I attempt to introduce her to dos midi classics on my roland.
Lol that's not hairy legs, that's burned rubber from blow torching a bunch of shock eye ends to remove inner races for our JKU.
