    Hey guys, I don't mean to ask too much of you all;

    But I am already wanting to redo this setup to be a bit nicer.

    List of hypothetical things to do:
    1. Sleeved extension cables (Why not?) :D
    2. Move the Res & Pump to reclaim drive bays
    3. G1/4 extender so I can use the compression fitting on the GFX
    4. New Fan controller (Probably just change my current to a 5 1/4 drive bay one. I can run all 6 fans off my current FC'er.
    5. Make the case look nicer.

    To acheive this I need to;

    Spend money.
    Pull the entire build apart and redo (fun)
    Crack out the dremel / Angle grinder

    I'm considering somehow removing some of the drive bays to reclaim some space in the case, but also keeping it look quite neat. I've actually got 4 HDDs, so will require 4 HDD mount locations. I need an ODD so there is no dice in removing that one there.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    nope, you come to the wrong place mate
    try whingepool :lol:

    i told u my ideas already
    i still reckon the D5 in the top of the hdd bay and the res flat on it's side, ports to the back, in the odd.
    dremel to taste
    either cut a hole in the bottom of the odd or the left side of the hdd bay
    you rang? [IMG]

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

    I didn't even think about mounting the res sideways. I guess I can live without a disc drive ;)

    BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD!

    Also realised my fancontroller provides enough room behind to function as a makeshift mount... Or maybe the 5 1/4 kaze does =\

    Lost in translation ;) All I can say :p

    That looks pretty darn good. I'm wondering If i might as well just upgrade to a bay res. Otherwise i'll look and see if I can possibly modify the internal ODD caging to accept the swiftech res in sideways or similar. Though it would be a bitch to add additional water to the loop ;)

    I will probably try and destroy some parts of the HDD cage to try and get the pump to fit.

    I really want to highlight the pump a bit more, it's had a bit of money spent on it ;) $70 Sleeve / Cover thingamajig.

    Edit and even thinking about sleeving some parts of the PC... ENDLESS WORK!

    And I redid cabling at the back of the PC yesterday, will upload pix soonish :D

    Okay ladies and gents (Who am I kidding, only gents would read this log)

    I have re-done my loop. I am also awaiting a new res from the forums too. Getting an EK Multioption from ElBeasto to put next to the expansion slots. But for the meantime, i've got my old res in there.

    Pictures :D

    I really like the location of the pump, and it was utterly minimal effort to install here. Bitch of a thing to bleed though. I know it probably lowers the efficiency of the fan below somewhat, but frankly, it's cool enough already and I don't really overclock madly.

    juries still out on Sven..... :Paranoid:

    res on psu scares the shit outa me...but looks good.

    90 on pump outlet isn't optimal, esp a hard 90 rather than a bend...
    but not the end of the world...

    not a fan of the hard 90 bends, just visually
    but a def improvement :thumbup::thumbup:

    Yeah, i'll probably end up getting a few 30degree / 45 degree bends. I never really intended to do this build for pure performance, but it works, and thus i'm happy :)

    I will probably move that res to just beside the PSU, but i've double checked everything and it's not leaking anytime soon. Also, I can live without my PC, if I indeed kill it. Volenti non fit injuria ;)

    Gonna put in an order from TKR when they allow me to use Auspost (and thus avoid the flat rate courier cost which i've already paid twice). CBF spending nearly $25 shipping for only a couple of fittings.

    Hidden the fan controller for least effort.

    what rad have you got in there? i'm guessing a black ice of sorts. i was measuring out to see if i could fit an sr1 in my r3 but the damn amd mounts get in the way :thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn: it'd fit if i had an intel board too...

    On the contrary, I need to learn several latin phrases as part of what I study ;)
    I quite like my little fan controller, so rather than replacing it, i'd just integrate it a little more. Ideally i'd like to mount it to the drive bay cover with the knobs slightly poking through (Don't even think about it).

    I actually have no idea. I bought it from these forums. I know the lower rad is a black ice rad, but the upper one is an unknown to me. Here's the picture from the FS thread. I got rid of those horrid fans too :)

    I drilled somes holes at the top of the case and moved it to the left a bit, so it would clear my mobo.

    :)

    Yeah, i'm not really sure. Suffice it to say that it works :)

    What do you think about sleeving the PSU / cables? Too much effort, or worth doing?
    I'd also consider putting in a window as a bit of fun, but at this stage quite unlikely ;)
