    Hello gents.

I've got a new reservoir (Courtesy of ElBeasto - Great bloke)

Going to order some more fittings and what have you from TKR, then i'll have it fitted. For the time being, this is where I plan to have it placed.

Please excuse the Bonjela, my wisdom teeth are coming through =[

I know having the res over the PSU ain't the most grand idea, but neither is mixing water + computers :)

    Anyway, thoughts?

    Yes! I'm a great bloke! :D

It looks as though that's the only place that you'll have space to mount it inside the case.
The only other place would be opposite on the HDD cages I suppose.

The back would be the best though I think.

Shouldn't be any probs over the PSU if you make sure the fittings are fairly (finger) tight and check there's no leaks.
Leave some paper towel there for the first day just to be sure.

I've had two wisdoms surgically removed, my god, the blood, the pain!
I recommend codeine and beer. :D

Lastly, xok is a great bloke himself!

I quite like how snugly and easy it will be to fit there, and I won't need to do any drilling to the case to actually hold the res in place. DOUBLEPLUSGOOD!

I've become pretty concerned about leaks, even to the point of seeing imaginary leaks (Yeah, I really should get more sleep) and have cut my fingers up several times tightening those darn phobya fittings (they work, no complaints!)

Not looking forward to getting my wisdoms out... Definitely going under for it, I can deal with the after effects:p

Fuck beer, alcohol is only going to inhibit the healing process :p Mate smoked cones every day after he got his removed, said it was a pretty good idea ;)

& lastly thank you :) I'll get around replying to your PM when exams / assignments are over (The good ol' uni days :p)
Not really enough space with the res there. Plus I kinda like the location, it would be suitable for the hypothetical window i'll hypothetically put in there one day :)
The microres was honestly going to cause me a headache to make a bracket for it, so fuck it, just got a res from the forums, as you do :)

The pain isn't that bad, i'll probably just dope up on the drugs they give you or just man through it, and play something addictive, like minecraft :)

    srsly.
pretty much as it says on the tin.
the empty socket can dry out and get infected and soreER

    worse with alot of heat/smoke/suction/etc
so just be sure to consume equal parts beer! :D

HAHAHAHA. Yes! I know what you mean, though I've really cut down as of late. Very rarely smoke (And even more rarely drink).

I didn't realise that you'd be able to easily infect your mouth, Saliva contains natural disinfectants (Piptin IIRC)...

Jelly & Icecream for a week can't be THAT bad, right?

I had dry socket once with one of my wisdoms, worst pain ever, next to inflamed ulcer.
Although these two are nothing compared to having a fitting leak all over your 2 new $600 GPU's which I haven't experienced thank fark.

Ha, I actually had two GTX 260's die on me during my first build including the blocks I bought for them it all came to $800.00
Including the GTX 470, block and back plate I bought after that: Nearly $1300

I'd never spend more than $300 on a GPU these days, after they're released at ridiculous prices they always come back down to around $300.
    Today's GTX 580 at $700 is tomorrow's GTX 480 at $300 & they're both great cards!

Very true. I read that while the cost to create the facilities and design of a chip is immense, the actual cost to create the chip itself is very low. That kind of annoys me.

How'd you manage to kill those two cards?

Not really sure, I'd say it was while I installed the block.
They went on then whne it came to boot up there was not signal to the monitor from either card.

They were over 3 years old I suppose but still...

Hello fine denizens of this decrepit forum!

I'm making an order from TKR, and because of the flat rate shipping, am wondering if it'd be worth buying some sleeved cable extensions to go with them... If i were to get this, I would also probably put a window in the case (I'm good with an angle grinder) and maybe some lights or something.

What do you guys think? Should I bother getting sleeved extension cables AND then putting a window in, or should I just leave it?

Like Law, it must be seen to be done, even if it's rotten to the core.

Nah, I've seen plenty of builds without a window.
Personally, I like a window in a LQ build so I can see if anything starts to leak.

Ultimately it's up to your good self though.
