As the title states, I need some new monitors for day trading, I currently have a single 34" dell and need something with larger real estate. Looking for recommendations, I also play games (mainly shooters). I had my eyes on the 43" dell but not certain about it, so I am turning to you for recommendations.

    Cheers in advance

    Do you have a budget?

So are you after separate monitors for the trading or are you after just 1?

I dont really have a budget, I could do 2, but I think I would prefer just a single really large screen.

Nice looks pretty good. although I think it may be too wide for my needs. I might go with the dell 43"

with a 43" 4K screen you can split your screen into 4 1080P work spaces. But you're right a 2nd display is always nice, perhaps the OP is planning on keeping his old monitor?

How about a Philips 40" screen. Under 1K and a good general screen for most applications.

Yep I can highly recommend the 40" (or 43") Phillips monitors. I would go two monitors, at least you can just have your trading stuff constantly up on one, and be doing what ever you want on the other, even playing games

phillips owner here. REALLY good monitor for the price. looks pretty good for gaming too, although still only 60hz @ 4k... but in saying that, there is no 4k @ 120/144hz yet.

its the lack of g-sync is the only reason i still don't have one for gaming. got the predator 32" instead (largest 4k with g-sync)

I am looking to replace the 34" but could look to potentially keep it. I will look at a dual monitor setup, If I was going to do that I really want to find 'edge display' to minimize the border

The Philips have a very small bezel. Not seen the Del but assume it's a Samsung or something.

Going for less than $500 in good condition you could pick up two and have an awesome setup.

I have both the Phillips 40" and 43" side by side and the newer IPS screen of the 43" is definitely worth the little bit extra. I often run 4 1920*1080 browser windows and all of them are readable even with my 50+YO nearly going blind eyes.
