We have a social group at our work, and they are having a little photo comp... I'm thinking about using one of the three photos below, but I'm a bit torn which one so would love to hear your thoughts!

I am entering the straight from camera category - so these have not been altered at all, and can't be (simply resized for showing here).

Ok, the theme for the comp is "When I'm not at work I... "
    So I'm thinking:
"When I'm not at work, I'm admiring the fire of life"

(Images were taken last night at the St Kilda Night Market.. pretty cool if you want to take pics of fire twirlers!)

Thanks guys, look forward to hearing from ya!!

Either the first or third, the third would look really great if your allowed to crop tighter on the girl and loose the one with the hoop. Id still pick the third even if you cant crop it.

Yeah I'd love to be able to crop... no go... rules:

For the "straight out of camera" category, no lens filters are allowed. Before and after you have taken the image, you must not modify or manipulate it, either with software or tools on the camera or with external software.

Looks like #3 is winning...... keep em coming :)

You could always take a cropped photo of the photo.

    Another vote for 3. :)

I didn't even really notice the hoop girl until FOTW had mentioned it. There is so much interest in the item and flames above the girls head, you hardly notice anything else.

Oh, nor did I, but the faces in the crowd are focused intently in that direction, so there is obviously more going on at the event than the girl with the flaming batons. It's got that sense of "something is happening" going on.

Definitely image 3, its the only one that seems to be focussed and not blurred, plus on a side note it has breasts, bum and most important......FIRE!!! Well traced movement of the fire and sticks, better than that in the other images.
On a more serious matter I too think the hoop girl could be cropped out.

Number 3. Technically and emotionally the best picture of the lot.

Yeh 3 is probably the best photo. 1 and 2 are not that great technically. Too blurry and can't really see much other than some guy with a stick and some fire. Can't see his face or anything at all. No details etc.

    3 definitely

btw next time include a poll perhaps? Easier to keep track of votes (when they are a little more varied :p)

This thread is too close to call, we need a poll.
