damn. which one are you getting. Sounds like it'll be a modified version.
and I beleive the Target recons come with 20 extra darts, which is worth the extra $5 vs the kmart sale price.

Not modified, but i don't believe that it's going to be sold in australia...

works out to be about 75 for the gun itself. and 75 for the shipping :upset::upset:

it's not Titan + Hornet sized, but it's... quite epic.

    It does

given how much it costs to get the extra darts from the US, it works out about the same as non-sale target pricing

so now i have one disassembled Recon, one working recon, 52 darts (6 from kmart Recon, 6 + 20 from target recon, 20 from net), 2 magazines (near moar), a pack of tagger darts, the Titan + 6 dart launcher, with the bucket of sex comming in about 3 weeks :)

EDIT: found out what the hulk nerf gun was

    http://www.amazon.com/Hasbro-78289-Hulk-Buster-Blaster/dp/B000Y91YB6/ref=pd_sbs_t_2

Titan + Hornet. I've found the hornet to be annoying. looking at modifying the Titan into a "multiple delivery platform" :) Also, cheap World4Kids foam rocket tubes + Hornet = potential. needs moar weight on the foam rocket, and a more secure mounting tube, that also lets me use the stock rocket...

EDIT2: someone should keep poking me for pics of my arms :)

couldn't resist, just went and got another recon, the extra darts were too tempting. I'll mod this recon and see how far it shoots.

same. the parts alone are worth the price cos we get ripped off here.

I took out the air resistor last night.
That pin that attached the black cover was a real pain to pull apart.

Hey Nakey, have you got pic of the $75 nerf.

I just did the air restriction mod moments ago, some nice distance now

As said, the black jam door made it slightly more difficult to assemble back together. Once you get used to it, it becomes easier to put together.

how'd you guys do the air restrictor mod?
i don't have a half inch spade bit yet

Did a quick recalulation, it's about 55 for the gun itself, shipping to a place in CO was about 20, and then the 75 to australia :upset:

then i look at NerfHaven, and there's a 10% off code, AND free shipping code :upset:

    the gun??

nakey: I got the ar out by using a needle nose plier and wriggling it 'til it came out. You could then use a drill to make a hole where the stub is left.

I saw that gun, but I thought it ran off batteries. I might do a little research, if its not bat powered I'll get it.

I guess you use priceusa? How much was shipping to oz?

I used a 13mm speedbore bit, perfect fit.

I didn't have needle nose pliers long enough to get to the post. :(

i bought a 12mm spade bit (Sluggy said 1/2 inch, but them's hard to find in the land of metric. half a millimeter shouldn't really matter anyway, but i might try dragon's idea of 13mm). makes life a lot easier. i can get the backplate and spring out, but the post and AR rotates. a few drills and screwdriver pokes laters, the whole AR and post are out. I tried using needle nose pliers, but i couldn't get one that goes far enough in

Also E-taped my plunger so that the spring compresses more. One of mine also has a cocking handle. pretty simple, just a knob from bunnings on the slide. now to get a better barrel.

I may be moving to micro stefans. Also racking my brains to see if streamlines cut in half would make good pistol rounds for a homemade :)

it does run off batteries. 6 D cell batteries to be exact. Can't really see how a machine gun can be anything but battery powered (really couldn't see it being air powered, too inefficient and it'd take like 100+ pumps... i get bored with 10 on my Hornet...)

You can fire it without the batteries, it's just not full auto. It's a proper plunger design, like AEG airsoft guns. it's not flywheel like the tommy series.

that's getting an AR removal too when it lands :)

    May get more belts :)

    75ish :upset:

the Longshot is going to have to wait another day, though i'm playing with my recons, and i'm happy. the Buzz Bee RapidFire's not too bad with Streamlines, but you're loading them manually. dunno where i put my double shot...

I've bought so many recons. bought 1 at k-mart, 3 at target, and have 2 on layby (and some of them chalk guns. See what they're capable of...).

*continues to wait on validation for NerfHaven....*

    Sorry for the double post

shot off an email to Hasbro australia...

    ... Fucksticks... :upset:

EDIT: chopped off part of the barrel on my Buzz Bee Rapidfire. I may convert it to bolt action rather than lever action. dunno ATM.
