I recently changed over from Telstra to Kogan for both my phone and my wifes. Coverage for me has been the same if not better than Telstra in SE QLD (between Brisbane and Sunny Coast mainly). The 4G speeds are slower, but still plenty usable so far. Have purchased 12 month recharge with 30% discount for both of our phones, so hopefully reliability doesn't change over the coming months.
Paid $280ish for my wifes Unlimted calls/text and 10Gb data per 30 days for 365 days.
Mine was $220 ish for same but with 5Gb, as I also have a work sim in my phone with data so didn't need more.

yes, wife has had good service with her Kogan deal so far, so i will try and hold out until Kogan offer her plan for $125 again, then i will upgrade my phone as well.

I might just get this $30 PAYG plan from Aldi, as i hardly use my phone, and probably won't use the $30 in a year anyway.

    https://www.aldimobile.com.au/plans/payg/

Update: have now activated the $30 1 year PAYG sim, and inside my house i can now get up to 3 bars on telstra 3G, before on my previous vodafone plan i could never get any signal at all, so i used to just leave my phone turned off.

Older post now but really, I wonder how this is possible? Seems far too good to be true.

it would be the best deal if it existed now. but as i said its not much better than other aldi deals, so its not 'too good to be true'.

    It's not 42Gig a month, it's 42Gig a year or 3.5 A month

Oh right, yes, my bad, read that as per 42 per month. A lot more believable now :p

Do Aldi customers get full access to the Telstra network?

You guys see any super cheap high data, or data only plans?

Been keeping an eye out for a while for a small sim for my tablet and one for my car android headunit. Only really need 2-3gb/month. But they all seem to be pretty expensive. Don't need calls at all. Something at like $5/month would be nice.

And my mobile is on a work phone plan, so I can't use the Telstra data sharing thing.

All i can say is with my new Aldi PAYG plan ($30 for 1 year) i am now getting up to 3 and sometimes 4 bars on my phone at home, with my old Voda plan, i go no signal at all inside our house, and even in most places outside, unless i walked down the driveway to the road.

I have 4 family members, plus myself, on mobile broadband using pocket wifi, and these are the $140 365 day telstra plans where you get 15gb of data, and most of them are up for recharge soon, so i might look at Aldi to see what they might have instead.

Is there a way that you can have multiple family members on one mobile wifi account ???
