New AMD System

    Noctua was off old build, B550 has been bought, and so has the ssd :weirdo:
    RAM not purchased yet, toss up between the Antec Katana RGB 16GB (2x 8GB) 3600MHz or the G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (4x8GB) 3000MHz CL15 DDR4 second hand for about 30-40$ more. Thoughts? Faster and less ram or slower and more ram is the question!

    16b is perfectly adequate for current gaming and office. I would go minimum 3200 c16

    I had slight problems previously with g.skill ram, and none with my crucial ballistix.

    MAnaged to snag the 3060 ti and 5600x bundle from techfast for $1148. Much pleased.

    Just received motherboard from Scorptec... there is a sticker on the box that say "AMD Ryzen 5000 Desktop Ready", does this mean it won't need a BIOS update?

    How sketchy of Scorptec to offer to flash the bios for an additional $29 fee then! :/
