What's the dell 24" like? This 23 looks nice, but would love a 24 (16x10 monitor)

edit: cheapest I can find this is harris tech, for $248

Is that the best available fellas?

The 23" seems to be the best bang for buck. 1" smaller effective halves the cost.

Yeah, $248 is the best price (it was available for @$227 one day last week).

I got one on Friday for $227 and picked it up in the arvo. Most useless store employees EVER. I think I've delt with more useful idiots in BigW!

Awesome monitor though especially for the price! Just need the rest of my new system to turn up now

The screen quality is great, being 16:9 is a bit of a bummer, but oh well for the size, and the fact I am using it primarily for games/media (have a 16:10 19" for web browsing and other) it is still very good :)

Can't wait till i can buy more now :p

I ended up giving Harris Technology a call in the first instance. They were surprised to hear about the problem, think it may have just been 1 dodgy one in the batch. Will take it back on Sat and they'll have a look. Chance they might just switch it for another. . .

That's crazy makes u wonder what these things are worth or cost to make, that's giving them away. I thought 250 was good when I bought mine.

The 24" (1920x1200) is on special atm*, but wow, if I could pick up 3 of these for ~$600, I'd... well, fuck it, I'd just do it.

    * And you can still get the 27" 2560x1440 for $680, IIRC.

    Yes $180 + GST = $198.00

Just call up and tell them you want three for $198inc each. They need to get approval so just haggle on the phone. I'll post the receipt if its too hard.
