Very good of them to offer that, wish that happened more often/ I'll have to give it a try :)

Cool... Always liked the sound of Silver Efex. Not super interested in the others but may try them now...

I am delighted that this collection is now free. I used Silver FX on a trial basis and was super impressed with the results.

grabbed it but cant see how to use it in LR? maybe I'm being a dumbo.

I can start the separate .exe by themselves, but they can only import jpegs, not raw?

You right click on the image in the film roll and select "edit in" and choose from there.

The bad thing about Nik is that it only works with Lightroom.
Can't use it with DxO, Paint Shop Pro, Photo Paint or Painter :/

And can't use it standalone either.. unless anyone knows otherwhise...

I've been using this for the last few days, refinding new photos.

The Color Efex system is really impressive - it's quite easy and I think the sooner I know what each filter does, the better it will get.

However for the time being I'm like a kid who has found the Clarity bar in lightroom and am cranking it to 11. Need to be conscious that I'm not overdoing it.

I haven't given the HDR and presharpening tools a good go though

The HDR tool works great on single images. I've never liked pics that have that HDR overprocessed look but you can use this tool quite effectively without it being obvious.
