shot that earlier in the week and totally forgot that i went out and shot until today so i put the cf card in to see the results. was quite happy.

its a subjection/composition which ive done previously:

but i feel that this photo is a bit more dynamic with a few more elements which allow it to pop just that little bit more. i really love golden tones, the direct sunlight casting shadows which create leading lines and the transparent water in this

    Hi dude,

Always good to see pics of my local beach that weren't taken by me as I see them how others see them.

Think I prefer the first one of those three for the shadows cast by the pylons back towards the camera.

    bazz.

There is a beautiful clarity and 'freshness' to all of them that I like.

    Oh God...

The first one is pretty amazing...

The golden light streaming in through the posts on the water, showing off the ripple texture.

    Great work

To be a critic, what's the go with the haloing around the barnacles?

Also why do all you photographer guys make your images so small? I have to squint :upset:

Criticism out of the way - the light rays look awesome through the clouds and the contrast of them on the water just tops it off

    thanks mate
thanks :) (i thought that too lol)
my poor processing skills lol - ill fix it later :p

because of my poor processing skills - its suppose to hide things like that ;)

i think 1000px is plenty for online viewing. heaps of people do like 640 or whatever - which i find too small. i suppose we all have different monitor sizes/resolutions

    thanks mate :)

this is the same pier i shot back in 08. i put it up on flickr back then, but my monitor wasnt calibrated and the contrast was much too high and it lacked detail in the wood/shadows so ive just done a quick re-edit
