You can occasionally get post-mix stuff on Ebay, like the proper ones. Most are the benchtop type.

There was a Wand system (2 wands, all the bits) on Ebay 2 weeks ago, asking $4K which is very very cheap.

Avoid the Lemonade - there's something very weird about that flavour :wired:

Raspberry is nice though - its more like the traditional creaming soda, which I like

you should try the sugar free lemonade. it's even weirder.

the smell of the cola syrup reminds me of the old freeza ice blocks they used to sell when i was a kid.

Kogi, I got one from Big W 2 weeks ago for $56, checked sodastream.com.au and it had the same pack, but with a 2nd gas bottle for $112 + $25 delivery, and online they have the flavours for $6 + delivery but Big W have them for $5.

Just need to track downl some postmix/syrup stuff for better flavored cola

Should be. I bought ours at that price even longer ago than he did. And stick with bigw for everything soda stream, even the refills are cheap.

    FYI:

Cola and raspberry (they finally got it again), are the freaking best. Creaming soda is ok too.

Oh yea, and in case noone knows, refridgerate both the water and syrup bottles before carbonation. They won't fizz up then. I found that carbonating room temp water was useless, must be cold, and that adding room temp syrup to cold carbonated water causes it to fizz like it's got rabies.

But cold syrup is perfect, minimal fizz loss.

    Basically;

    1. fill the water bottle, put in fridge.
    2. put syrup bottle in fridge too.
    3. carbonate cold water with short spurts until it "buzzes" 3-5 times.
    4. add cold syrup.
    5. turn bottle to mix, don't shake.
    6. guzzle.

Aldi has the Sodastream Spirit machine on special this week for $79 I bought one on Saturday, still learning how to get enough fizz in the drink, not as easy as I thought.

Why? Just choose your level of fizz and press as many times as you need....

Man, I haven't made a soda stream in ages, don't really do soft drink anymore anyway. However yea, it's not that hard, it's easier than basic hygiene which seems to elude Victorians too. :p Same as that joke. You know jokes right? Knock knock. Who's there? Fucking no one, stay away from each other.

Loving the sodastream, i always re-stock at Big W because the canisters are half price when you return the empty, i haven't seen supermarkets doing that.
I don't drink soft drink though, so i just drink Soda and use limes off the tree, not a sugar person.

I couldn't find exchange in those places but i am in a rural area.
Big W has an epic range of flavours i think, i get sugar free ginger beer. But there is sugar version and probably about 9 other flavours.

Wifey got all the new flavours from the Pepsi range, mountain dew is the worst one.
Considering I love mountain dew, I'm not loving the taste.
