Just about to order one plus the 24105G. Sony have confirmed more stock coming before Xmas.

I'll hold on to my A7RII and try and sell once the cashback offer has expired.

Currently researching which UHS-II card to purchase.

Which 85? The GM or the F1.8? I have the SEL85F1.8 and I am very happy with it.

Thanks for that. I am leaning towards getting a couple of the Sony 64GB G series USH-II cards.

Sorry, missed your post - The offer is over now, so the site has been updated, but it was originally under Sony AU's site under "Interchangeable Lens Cameras".

If you can afford it, get it - you won't regret it. I'm loving mine.

Made a mistake - the free Z-series battery for A7Riii offer IS still up, it's under the "Christmas Specials" tab.

And no, it's not just online - you can buy from any Sony Kiosk in person. I got mine from Sony Castle Hill (NSW). They WILL match other official retail outlets.

I have the Zeiss Batis 85mm, and it takes bloody great photos with the A7Riii, especially when you check out the 100% crop. The Sony 85 GM will be just as good.

Check to see if Sony AU will price match it, that way you get the better price AND a free battery!

What's the batus like for CA? My I'll 85 Zeiss a mount wasn't great with CA

Frankly I can't see any chromatic aberration at all. Have a look at the sample pics in the link I posted in my last reply.

No, I didn't have RAW enabled for that event unfortunately, but I should add some, plus low light examples etc. Might do that over the weekend.

I think the FE 85 1.8 is great value. Does not have IS, but I can't see where this lens can be improved.

Yep I have it also - hard to pass up that IQ for that price.
Have shot the Sigma 85 1.4 but tended to close it down to F2 due to the CA - the FE is better in that regard and just as sharp.

Only reason to get the batis instead is for the OSS on older bodies

My camera should turn up next week and hopefully the 24105G in the same time frame. :leet: Anyone want to buy an AR7II plus VG and assorted chargers?

Unfortunately the 64GB SF-G Series UHS-II SD memory cards are back-ordered and may be next year.
Warning to prospective shoppers, be careful you don't get the slower M series by mistake when ordering online. For instance an Amazon search lands you on a M series not G series.

I have the Batis 85 and it has beautiful IQ. Though am sorely tempted by the 85GM only because 1.4
