The latest Timeshift demo is out, game is due for release in November.

The game has been completely redone since the last demo came out (it was poor) and from all reports the new demo is pretty promising. :D

People should realy give this one a try, it runs well and looks AWSOME, game play is pretty good fun!

Sigh, I really shouldn't be playing this, but I just can't help myself.

Don't base judgement of this game on the first demo, it's like a totally new game now and the latest demo confirms this.

Apaprently according to this demo my drivers are not up to date, so i went and got the ones it recommends, the beta 163.75 drivers and it still says they are not up to date.

Anyway i loaded up the game and the whole "processing shaders" thing is a bit annoying and an un welcome return from BF2, i thought it would die out but apaprently not as i noticed Crysis also has it.

I have to say i am really impressed with the demo and i think the extra time they spent to re-work the title has really paid off. It looks amazing, leaves CoD4 for dead as far as graphics go. The water is great and the rain effects are really impressive given the piss ass job most games do with rain. The efects for the time shift ability are really good also. Overall the graphics are great and the game runs fairly well even with 1gb of ram.

The sound is pretty good too, no shitty Fmod engine in sight. It's nice to see you can change the FOV in the game menu, it's not a common feature. Gameplay seems pretty solid, the weapons look a bit chunky and plasticy but they still are good over all.

I was having fun in the demo but it caused my PC to lock up unfortunately so now i'll have to start again.

From what i have seen so far this game might actually be worth buying...

Is this the same demo that was released on X360 a month or so ago?

Tried the demo & didnt like this at all.

Dont like how the timeshift is done & the game feels too generic.

    Ill pass.

Its fear without the well FEAR but it did seem fun for what I hope is being billed as a "budget" fps because its no where near polished enough to be anything else.

Looks like it might be a good single player experience. Love how the environments are semi destroyable. Apparently multiplayer is shaping up to be a blast from things I've read. Definately worth keeping an eye on.
