i just done 70Gb or so and I'm capped right now... did 40Gb in the peak period
Just wondering, does anyone know if all telstra phone lines are copper? and adsl2+ compatible?
Telstra home phone lines are 99.9% copper, however not all are adsl2+ compatible. If your behind a cmux or Rim you cant get ADSL2/2+ only ADSL1 through telstra Wholesale even if your local exchange has ADSL2+ DSLAM.
Tony, are you being shapped on uploads?
Peak Download used: 37379.997 MB
Off-Peak Download used: 88392.221 MB
and still going strong.....
I'm on the 50gb $90 plan, I think I'll be changing.
Ive been thinking of moving to this plan from regular ADSL, just thought id gloat at my estimated figures
Line of Sight: 118 m
Estimated Cable: 195 m
Estimated Attenuation: 3
Estimated Maximum Speed: 25000
Ive been with TPG previously when they had axed plans, and I too was allowed to remain on the original plan. No problems at all back then, although it was a few years ago.
bloody hell... i wanna live that close to an exchange!
LOLZ I got nothing on that so far:
Peak Download used: 13049.774 MB
Off-Peak Download used: 21544.497 MB
Since the 8th.
what the bloody hell do you people download to use that much ??????????
I wonder if TPG actually makes a profit..
Seriously iam using $30 on iiNet and it gives me 1.5gb for the whole month (peak + offpeak)..now isn't that way more profitable than $70 for 150gb?
fair enough...just seems a little over the top.
but meh use it if you have it ig uess.
For those on this plan already what are the p2p speeds like?
you're my new hero
i've only done 40Gb peak, 30Gb offpeak...
This is an automatically generated email to advise you that you
have reached your peak download limit and your
peak service will be throttled to
64 kbps until 01/08/2007.
So your off-peak is capped as well?
Yeah well i only figured it out today that the exchange at the end of my street is the one i am connected to. Im living with my missus, and when we moved here, for some reason they got another number, with the old number forwarding to the new one. When i put the old number into various websites, it said it was on the old exchange, 4-5km away, so i never bothered with ADSL2.
Hopefully I can get connected in the next week or so, been very excited all today!
Data doesnt cost that much.
off-peak is not capped (if you haven't gone over your quota), you get uncap pretty much right at 1am
funny sometimes I get 15KB /s when capped during peak hours, and the upload are definally more then the cap limit
I have a usenet account and I get 1mb/s+ all the time weather its peak/off and BT speeds have been the same on this plan as to my old one (the 50GB/$90)
