Hey! I joined this forum hoping to find answers to hopefully upgrade my computer or (if that is not possible) build a computer for the first time.

Complete newbie. Never built a computer. First time opening and looking at the internal parts of my computer was 2 days ago. Tad overwhelmed. Been binge watching YouTube tutorials on the subject and soon realised finding specific answers to my very specific questions was going to be hard.

None of my friends are any help. So google search Aussie Forum and here I am.

I'll be lurking around here and if confident posting questions newbie style. Haha.

    Zarora.

    Hi,

As a newbie to the community and to PC building, I'll give you benefit of the doubt.

Do not take the Verge guide verbatim, or at all. The Verge have been widely ridiculed/criticised for publishing a video that was full of factual inaccuracies about both PC components and system building practices. They copped that much flak about it that they took down the video, but some people managed to archive a copy of it and reupload across multiple channels.

Look up "verge pc build" on Youtube, and you'll see all the commentary reply videos about it.

When we make positive reference to it or give it as a recommendation to follow, it's just a light-hearted troll.
