Super Mario Odyssey!
yay a Mario game
ok, SMO looks awesome
is this Monster Hunter!?
Whatever it is, looks cool
No, not MH it's um Xenoblade 2. Shiny.
Dragon Quest X and XI (nfi?) OH, it's an MMO - meh
in a shock to no-one, Skyrim - they even got Todd to announce all new bugs.
Looks like the console is coming out in march and all the games 3-9 months after that... except for "1,2 Switch".
Hopefully that tree house presentation thing tomorrow morning will show off some games that will be available at launch!
Also that 2nd translator was terrible... "ummmmmm" "ughhhhh"
Looks like Zelda is a launch title as well!!
More Zelda footage, yay
Presentation done. Summary a page back here:
Well at that price, I guess there wont be huge numbers jumping on board.
I think that Zelda trailer pre-sold 1 million Switches...
Yea im guessing AU$400 for launch.
$400 might be a little optimistic even. Direct conversion gets you to $400. Allow them some room on extra freight and the AU tax, and we should end up around $450.
yeah should have been $250
time will tell.
The Mario game looks awesome though.
trailers are up on Ninty's channel
As I said back here:
Price is same goal as previous Nintendo consoles. Very typical Nintendo here.
Agreed. $350-400 was a direct conversion from US Dollars and Japanese Yen RRP. We'll get the standard PAL Gamer Tax and have it released here for $450.
*BUT* they've said "they'll aim for" no region locking (probably like the PS3/PS4 where it's up to the developer). Technically speaking you could import your own if you wanted to (big assumption there of course).
SM Odyssey must be the next in the m64 line of games (64, Sunshine, Galaxy, Galaxy 2) with a bit of 3d land/world mixed in.
They said it was more "sandbox" like 64/Sunshine, and less linear than Galaxy.
I put quotes around "sandbox", because it's still Nintendo, and I don't think they quite get the concept of total game world freedom (although I hope I'm wrong for both SM Odyssey and Zelda BOTW).
Probably sand box in the same way ocarina was... I mean 'technically' you could move around the overworld freely, but everything was still pretty constricted to a reasonably specific and linear order.
What did I say earlier in the thread, I'd pick it up on day 1 if it was under $400? 'tendo pls... let me love you
Maybe we'll stretch that to $400... or $450 if it comes with a game......
$469 launch price RIP switch
That's with no games and excluding the $120 pro controller
This is not looking good for Nintendo. Should've cut out that 1-2 Switch and Boxing junk, reduced the price and given a decent launch line up. At this price they will struggle heavily and only sell to die hard fans
Also the console seller Zelda will be on Wii U. There is no reason to buy this at launch
Sellong a barebones spec console for the price of a PS4Pro. Rather outrageous.
Well ill just have to wait for Scorpio and deal with my own 3ds
Day 1 purchase for me.
Super long day at work and only just got home. Have not seen the conference and have only read a few things (on neogaf) about it. So $470, 32gb storage, 7 games on launch day and a subscription for online play. Nintendo could not fuck this up more if they tried.
The concept looks cool, but you have to be a die hard nintendo fan to even give a shit about this thing at this point.
