don't forget to update the bios on both of them and disable Intel AMT Management Engine.

also check what Operating System licence is attached to them

updated BIOS, thought i bricked one cos screen went black and didn't come back on, whilst the other showed stuff on the screen while updating

thankfully, it came back to life once finished

what is the Intel AMT Management Engine?

how do i check the licence?

When getting drivers from the dell website you have the option to put in a the machines serial if you put the serial in then it will customise the drivers and other media.

If the machine has a windows oem licence it should allow you to download the media from the dell website.

If the machine is standing upright there should be a tab at the top where the power supply plug goes. pull out the flap out and it should have a sticker with the serial of the machine and also the licence key for the windows install.
