that sucks, i love the way my 1080Ti (GB Aorus) is fully passive when not in a game. and when it spins up it's whisper quiet. Maybe there is a bios update that fixes the fan curve or it's not mounted correctly?

AIO 2080ti for $1900 express shipping.

I am extremely tempted. I was considering a Gigabyte Waterforce but that's nearly $400 more for what is basically the same thing, which would cover a new CPU AIO (EVGA CLC 280 or Corsair H115i) and Case (Meshify S2).

I'm pretty over the heat my 980ti's are generating especially in summer. I think one of them is getting so hot it's burning dust in the case, makes the room smell like an old school radiator is on.

My Gigabyte 2080ti would cycle the fans at idle/low-usage, and they would also make a little bit of a click sound when they started. Very annoying. I updated it's bios, and it seems to be better. It had quite an old version out of the box.

No. I just don't like my kit to be flimsy pieces of shit, particularly when I'm spending 1500 bucks.

Tbh the issue isn't the build quality really/ I wouldn't return a card like this for something like that - this was nearly the cheapest card you could get for the money so you've got to expect that sometimes. However, the issue is more around the fan curve which I can get working 'okay' with MSI afterburner.

I doubt I'll bother returning it as I can't see mwave (based on the responses I've got from them so far) admitting a fault at all, it's just the nature of the card.

The FE I had was just quieter at idle, but obviously was a lot less efficient at cooling when gaming

    Just disappointed thats all =(

Fair enough, seems odd that it would be loud at idle though, most cards that I've had lately could maintain acceptable idle temps at a point where the fan voltage was so low that one stopped.

Maybe keep an eye out for vbios updates, I had some early/early-ish Kepler cards from certain vendors that were dogs until they released vbios updates that adjusted some power mode voltages etc.

Just setup a custom fan curve

Yeah the afterburner profile seems to be working, but it doesn't seem to apply after reboot. Will have a play around and hopefully these guys release a updated rom for it

Thats a pretty good price and the lowest I've seen.

Finally, 2080Ti's are coming down to palatable levels.

Thats a non A GPU, so you can only flash a bios with 310w power limit rather than 380w. See below

I would spend a little extra (or the same) and get an A variant.
