im late did you import that GPU ? or did you source it in Aus
I sourced it locally from the original owner who bought the GPU from PLE and the hydro copper waterblock from the eBay EVGA store.
RTX 20 Refresh, RTX 20xx Super
When are these super models expected, I'm looking to go back to team green and a 2080 super might be better value than a 2080ti
no new flagship? yawn
No clue, no official ETA yet.
I think GPU price may have dropped, Asus RTX2060 Dual OC is still listed for $599 at PCCG/Scorptec, but MSY/Umart are selling em for only $495.
lmao i cant wait for the 2080ti to drop below 1k and ill kill myself
We'll raffle your card off here on ocau... 'nope Edition' and donate the money to a meth clinic somewhere...
Why would Nvidia compete with themselves?
For Sale: my virginity ono
They not competing with themselves, they need to keep the sales going, 20 series (and their retarded price tags) as not selling that well I guess, and they need something "new" to boost the sales. 2080 will drop down in price. Competition or not, you still need to hit the sales targets for the month/quarter/year...
"not selling that well I guess"
Based on what?
Wouldn't you think a team of professionals would know more about correct pricing of their products and how to make money then you do?
In reality you think its too expensive and the company is doing badly and not hitting their sales targets because you want a 2080ti for cheaper.... thats not logical though.
This might blow your mind but being the top company by miles in terms of features and performance and charging a premium price can actually be a successful business model.
Based on the fact that they are launching new cards, without any competition anywhere
Most likely yes but, I'm not getting paid develop their business plans, yearly forecasting and sales strategy to hit their set yearly targets in this forum.
I just leave this here:
never said company is doing badly.
I dont want 2080Ti cheaper, bought one months ago for $2400, so yeah dont care, do I think it's still overprices piece of ..? 100%
FYI: 20 series is not just 2080Ti
Not sure why you asking such a question as this "Why would Nvidia compete with themselves?" when they clearly not competing with themselves, and then attack someone who is just trying to explain what could be behind this....this is still a discussion forum correct ?
boo dude, you are too cheap.. I would have bought MSI GTX2080Ti Lightning Z instead.
This is just a regular refresh to keep a strong hold on their throne.
If there was competition we would see a lot more.
Except in the high end market they have no competition and haven't for some time.
exactly nvidia didnt even have to release teh 20 series their 10 series card would STILL be the performance leaders and thats a 3 year old card now.
Indeed. Furthermore, releasing the 20 series with RT and Turing cores and working with game devs to implement the proprietary tech means even *if* AMD have a product at some competing price points, you have more to offer. People who buy into the tech will also see incentive to remain with the company providing those same features in future products.
I'm just guessing but I think Nvidia could release RTX2080Ti Super or RTX2090.
RTX2080Ti vs RTX2090(RTX2080Ti Super)
4352 vs 4608 Cuda Cores
1545 vs 1750 Core Clock
14GB/s 11GB GDDR6 352-bit (616GB/s)
68 vs 72 RT Cores
544 vs 576 Tensor Cores
