people still think nvidia will release these cards in the middle of a world wide crisis?

    0 chance imo

from a marketing and sales perspective, you gotta be an idiot to release high end hardware when all the suppliers/part makers/production lines are closed with people staying home.

I wouldn’t be surprised if next gen consoles were pushed back as well because of this pandemic

Outbreaks are only starting in countries outside china...

About to pickup a 5120x1440 monitor, anyone running one of these with a 2080 and playing FPS games on it? What's the performance like?

you're still about a million pixels off 4k, but i wouldn't be aiming for much above 60fps with only a 2080 depending on the game

Nice QLED and GPU, but personally I'd spend bit more and get 2080Ti if possible. cos you'll need more GPU power for 5120x1440 res.

The additional RAM that comes with the Ti would also help. I wonder why he is not going for a full fledged 4K monitor.

I have a full 4k 32" monitor. I have an ultra wide at work. I prefer the ultra wide format due to pixel pitch and and general usability.

Personally I also prefer UW or SUW over 4K, but today's fastest GPU can only really handle 2560x1440.
I went from 2080S to 2080Ti for that reason(for games like Control), and even with 2080Ti I still had to disable RTX features on less demanding games like CoD MP to get the most out of 144Hz panel.

id rather suw but vertical res is still too short for me.
1440p is ok but we need taller suw/uw

hi guys, anyone used the Kraken G12 with a AOI coller for their 2080ti ?

I really want to do it as stock cooler is ridiculously loud so I ordered H55 and the G12 bracket.

However, when I watch the YT videos, when the reviewers put the waterblock mounting brackets on, it appears like they are on the corner of the GPU casing and also on top of the RAM chips, see screenshots I took from the YT videos :

am I missing something or does that just look wrong ? anyone used this bracket and can share their install experience - https://www.nzxt.com/products/kraken-g12-white ?

    thank you

    Yeah I use it.

That is how it is. Nothing wrong with it. It can be a bit finicky to mount perfectly but works well. Maybe just check its mounting properly (paste footprint) before connecting everything to run. I cut the g12 bracket to get rid of the fan because I didn't need it. Made a little easier to mount.
