Impressive list of improvements, I am surprised they managed to get those performance boosts, since the GTX580 has its underlying architecture based on the GTX480, which already has fairly mature drivers. Great work from the Nvidia driver team.

Been a long time since the last whql.....I'm inclined to give these a try tonight. No particular reason why though, not gaming much in the last few weeks.

Didn't notice any differences in sc2, maybe it has to be forced on in the nvidia cp.

I am rather glad I found these drivers - the performance of my GTX 460 1GB has been quite frankly fucking awful. As in barely any better than my 9800GT 512MB. Turns out that I am not the only one with terrible performance as the nvidia forums are full of complaints. I was running the 260.99 and was barely getting 30 fps in Bad Company 2 (at any detail - didn't make much difference what settings). I investigated and found GPU utilisation wasn't ever getting above 30% while playing BC2 and not doing much better anywhere else.

Installed this driver and now the utilisation in BC2 is around 90% and it never drops below 50 fps in heavy action and sits around 70-80-90 fps range most of the time. This is on full details, AA etc running 1280x1024 @ 75 Hz.

Rather pleased this driver fixed it, I was hoping I wouldn't have to go get a AMD/ATI card.

8x and higher are generating white screen crashes in games, the bug's cause has been found and will be fixed in the final WHQL driver.

I've been using these drivers for several days now in several different games (crysis included) and no crashes, nothing. AA works fine at all levels...
