Wait for non reference coolers mate, dont jump on em just yet.

Serious if your going to buy a amd card buy it with a non reference cooler, unless you are watercooling of course.

I would wait for non-reference as well...

AMD 290 are a better deal than the 780s right now for every category except for heat/noise. I forgot to mention the 290 also has DirectX11.2 whereas 780 only has DirectX11.1

The 290s can be overclocked as well with a reference card but it will be a beast with better cooling.

Gigabyte 780ti's hit suppliers today, pricing should be round $849 maybe a bit higher initially.

    12:01 day of the release.
it works well, if someone breaks the NDA, they ain't gonna get a card to review the next release meaning lost traffic to the site.

only review we may get is from someone who has nothing to loose, in which case..

To be fair, try googling GTX 780 NDA and you don't get much.

All of 50 pieces..... Asus ones should land next week apparently with double the quantity.

I expect supply to be tight for the rest of this year for the GTX780Ti.

    Are they non-reference?

$849 is way too high....what the hell are nvidia thinking....??? always the company to overcharge for everything.

Titan is still selling for $1300 AUD which is a disgrace.

    why is it too high?
because it's higher than the 290x?
nvidia chose to price it at a certain point a point in which they decided that people will still buy it.
if AMD had a titan speed card on titan's release, it would have never been 1300....

Because it has is a terrible price/performance ratio.

Who in the right mind would want to buy a titan right now when you can get a classified 780 for cheaper or go 290X Crossfire at the same price?

Nvidia just doesn't have the price/performance and the value that AMD offers right now. People will of course still buy the titan and 780ti. But they are either Nvidia fanboys, doesn't know AMD exists or have very deep pockets.

Viewing the Titan in a gaming perspective its a bit of a rip but viewing it in a Quadro/Telsa alternative its actually very good value for money.

In fact most of the people I see these days buying Titans are using it for workstation perspective.

Here's hoping the 290 brings another round of price cuts for the 780. Very temped to buy the Classy for $499 from NCIX this morning, but will hold out to see how things settle

Ti would want to be a hellovalot better than the 780 to make me fork out the extra benjamins.

I waited too long to buy this gen and am now stuck in the 'must get it as cheap as possible' mode. Should have just bought on release like I have with previous generations, but just wasn't gaming much at the time to justify it.
