    I did the same with my 780. i had 580 SLI 3gb, i o/c'd mine & got it to run almost on par (580 sli was 13.2k 3dmark11 / oc 780 did 13.1k 3dmark11)

but the benefit of single card over sli, less heat, less power, that in itself is the major upgrade, but yeah im keen for another 780

I reckon in game results would be better than 3dmark 11?

was looking to replace my phantom 570 which is 2 years old now with a gainward 770 phantom, but looking at the Gainward 780 for an extra $200. I'll mainly be gaming in BF4

    worth the extra $200?

If you are running at 1440p then yes i think it would be well worth it.

Hell if you're @ 1440p I'd be going for the TI

I don't understand this GPU boost.....

I put extra 80Mhz in EVGA precision X and my 780Ti boosts to 1200hmz wtf??

i read in reviews they needed to add like extra +200mhz to get to 1200mhz.

Why are you overclocking it? Benchmarking? Not getting enough grunt?

Coz I thought you could disable boost so you set actual clocks.

It's free performance boost, i'm not even tweaking voltage.

Managed to get 1200mhz core clock and 7900Mhz (+450mhz) memory clock stable doing Heaven benchmark at stock voltage.

Very impressed with the memory overclock.

I haven't used the EVGA tool but I'm pretty sure any extra mhz you tell it you want is added to whatever it naturally boosts to. so if your card is already boosting to 1120mhz then you ad 80mhz which makes 1200mhz. My card naturally boosts to 1111mhz and it hits 1250mhz when i ad 140.

ohh.... that makes sense because my card naturally boosts to 1116 Mhz.

Sound about right both my cards boost to 1124MHz at stock and RAM seems to OC well to around 400/450 but not to sure if RAM is actually stable as my first few runs it ran OK but it did fail on me once.. this is at stock volts with power target 106% and temp target 95c

Also those who are purchasing the cards in AU locally i tried to find out if we are entitled to the 3 free games as EVGA has listed currently but dealing with EVGA has been difficult..

From what i understand from multiple emails we cant take up the current promo of the 3 free games if purchasing locally i registered my cards online and i also emailed but no cake for me.

If you purchase from amazon once registered and have the invoice uploaded you should receive the free games... its a US offer.

Also from my understanding in the emails we should see a similar promo starting November 28th to January 31st, 2014 but i cant get a straight answer out of them if those who have already purchase locally will be entitled to the promo if purchase before November 28th.

Hi guys long time lurker. First post, so go easy on me.

I'm wondering if anyone might know the release date (in Australia) of the Gigabyte GTX 780 Ti Windforce 3X OC, I was very impressed with the review over at Guru 3D link: http://goo.gl/LFc0h4.

Oh and great site, keep up the good work.

My 780Ti is idling so low at 300mhz that i get an initial lag when i start up google chrome and the gpu core shoots up to like 800mhz.

I never had a problem with cards idling too low and causing initial lag. How do i fix this?

Wait for a new driver - most of the time that fixes stuff like that.

+110 on my standard ti was seeing around 1111-1141 mhz in bf4 duno how that works when boost is meant to be upto 928 haha

suppose they are meant to boost a bit higher than advertised

I can still hear how loud my card is in game.. does that mean ATIs sound like a complete jet? :p

    Thanks

    What's your temperature??

i completely removed the gpu bracket to get more airflow. Seems to be working out fine.

1200mhz core, i'm at 73 degrees doing heaven extreme or fire strike extreme.

Around ~80 degrees, haven't done too much testing yet will do more tonight what are you using to monitor temps? I've just been alt tabbing during BF4 and checking precision x.

My case is a M-itx so not much airflow or space however it gets some fresh air from a vent just next to the card.

well considering the AnandTech review said there were only around 5 db between the two cards, it's probably half as loud again (noise double every 10db)
