Nope, NVIDIa's CES press event (http://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/2014/01/05/live-las-vegas/) covered three things:
    • Tegra K1 (mobile gaming)
    • G-Sync
    • Shield and Grid

The focus for hardware was on the Tegra K1 for mobile gaming/computing, not on the next generation of PC hardware.

Read an article on OCN that it will be similar to 2x 780s but with 5GB ram

Hmmm not sure if that would be true. Going by the memory bus and past implementations of vram to mem bus, it seems highly unlikely.

Rumour I've read is it'll have 10GB... not sure if it's accurate.

Both are correct. 10gb in total. 5gb usable as it's still an internal SLI setup.

So 5gb of RAM will be what is presented to the system.

Wow 10GB of vram??? Def wanna get one of these bad boys for 2560x1600 gaming :D

But the 780ti with 6GB of vram sounds good too haha

No... 5gb of VRAM... 10gb on the board, but only 5gb will be effective.

Also a 780ti with 6gb has been ruled out by nVidia multiple times... They have reserved 6gb and Kepler for Titan.

Look at Maxwell for more VRAM on a card other than the Titan.

Would the 790 have the bad effects on the same games like traditional sli setups?

From my understanding no, because it's internal SLI... But I don't really know, I've never owned an x90 series :(

Oh thought it would be like 10gb total vram, 5gb per gpu??

Also, this was just posted 17hrs ago, not sure how accurate though. http://wccftech.com/nvidia-preparing-gtx-780-ti-6gb-edition/

I've never had any problems with my card.

Then again I've never owned 2 x lower cards and put them in SLI either.

I just find having 1 dual GPU card with internal SLI easier than having 2 cards in SLI.

Main benefits I rkn are less power consumption, noise, heat output when compared to a 2 cards in SLI.
